I think there was a diesel Benz that hit 2.85 million (it was a Greek Taxi) and the world record is Irv Gordon and his 1966 Volvo P1800—at 2.5 million miles.

Still really impressive.

Just a few weeks ago I saw an older VOLVO station wagon at my local Shop-Rite. On the front grill it had a VOLVO badge that said "Certified 1,000,000 miles". Then under it was ANOTHER VOLVO badge and it said "Certified 2,000,000 miles". That's a lot trips around the block!

It would take several members from this board to add their milage of lets say 11 cars to equal that of one silverado

 So, the 2.5 million mile car has the record.... and the 2.85 million mile benz does not? ;)

Gregorio Sachinidis - 1976 Mercedes 240D - 2.85 million miles

I have 185,000 on the Camaro and 126,000 on the T/A, I've put 10k on the T/A sense I picked it up, and I bought the Camaro with 160,000.

I put 260k on my BMW. The closest I put on an F-Body was 138k on the 'Hawk.

About 6 months ago I remember reading that a SAAB went 1 million miles. I think SAAB gave him a new car in trade for his.

I wonder how much of that Million Mile Truck is still original. Figure that the tranny had to be rebuilt at least twice to go that far.

saab was running a special for a while where if you drove any saab for 1 million miles they would give you a free one

i read somewhere that GM wanted to buy/take the truck, and tear down the motor to see what it looked like after 1 mil. miles.

YAY Chevy!!! My 1981 camaro had close to 500,000 on it but at the 350,000 mark it went from the stock V-6 to the the 350 from my stepdad's streetrod. Shortly thereafter the transmission was replaced LOL.

My camaro has ~165k on it....imagine how much more it would have if I had been driving it that last 4.5 years....

I have a 94 civic that I drive every day, Has 207,000 miles on it with the original engine, transmission, and CLUTCH (given to me by original owner in my family). It passes inspection effortlessly every time, doesn't burn/drip a single drop of oil, and still gets 38mpg. At this rate I'll be owning a million mile car in about 20 years

HONDA RULES.

hmmm i wonder what caused the tranny to go?

I had a Ranger with 196k on original engine, tranny, and clutch, the pressure plate was wearing out when i sold it, but i heard that the friction was still perfect when it was replaced. (oh the original owner was my aunt)

btw my iroc has 90k on the body, sadly nothing mechanical is original.
