Hi. My name is Fernando. Ive been ricer free for about 4 months. Ford free for about 2 months. That felt good to say....lol sorry, had to do it AA style. Seriously though i found out about this site through the ThirgGen.org site a few weeks ago. I havent had a chance to make any posts but ive browsed around everyone here seems cool as hell. Hopefully ill be a regular on the forums. I live in jersey city (its not that scary i promise) and im still a tike at 23 years old. Ive been aroud the block in terms of different type of cars. Finally i feel at home with the chevy again lol. From start til now, 88 H/C bolt on Notch, 86 Z28 305 stock, 88 Mustang GT bolt ons, 89 5.0 H/C notch bolt on noth, 90 9C1 Caprice with edelbrock H/C/4bbl, 1982 Toyota Corolla (old school rwd) with a built 12A (still have), 1993 Honda Civic 4 dr EX. Single cam turbo and still got beat by bolt on L98s n stangs n stuff. Then dropped a GSR with the usual honda stuff. Still lost to stock 4th gens. Sold it in oct thank god. Got a 90 240 from a friend. Left it stock then traded it for a 1985 GT. Put some bolt ons then sold it for my current car... 1987 Camaro IROC. It was originally a 305 tpi but its got l98 now. Bought it for 700 bucks running :-D I havent done anything to it yet cuz the bills have kinda piled up but eventually ill work on it. I know its a LOOOONNG post and im sorry. but im real excited about the car and even this forum because i kno this car will be with me forever. And hopefully i can meet some new good friends here as well. So i fugred why not give a "little" run down about myself! Im also REALLY REALLY BORED

Ya the whole honda thing was pretty sad lol. All my friends are import guys. At least they're not ricers though lol. I figured id try the honda thing out since we had a shop at the time. It sucked. 99% of honda guys are jerks. Even your own "friends" will turn their back on you if you beat them. Everyone tries to steal each others cars or parts, even from their own friends. Im convinced if they broke a leg or something they would punch their own grandmother off a wheel chair and steal it. Probably run her over too.

ya i actually had plans to build the 85 GT. But a friend of mine knew someone who had to sell the iroc ASAP. He wanted 1000. Then i get a call one day from the guy saying to bring him 700 and its mine. I was a proud Iroc owner about 30 minutes later lol. It's kinda funny cuz he told me it was a 350 but i thought he was bsing. i woulda been ok if it was a 305 tpi and trust me i thought he was bsing and it had a 305. Til i checked the back of the block. :-D i was happy to say the least. I gotta say though it was a steal. Its a legit iroc with a 350 tpi. The interior is in pretty good condition other than the usual, sagging headliner and torn driver side seat. The exterior WAS in great condition. The only thing was the paint on the door was cracking. But the rest of the car was in great condition. Til three days after i got it and got hit by a damn truck. Anyone have a blue driver side fender and bumper for sale lol?

Welcome aboard. Turd gens are cool...I think when I get back into the F body scene I'm gonna look for a Turd gen myself. And around here the folks are pretty cool w/ any kinda car except rice. We've got Mopars, other GMs besides F bodies, Mustangs, all kinds of trucks, etc. I myself have a Buick T-Type, and I'm also the resident AMC screwball. So, we're pretty automotively diverse.

ya its easy. but not if you dont have the right tools. i dont have any line wrenches with me. i dont even know whats the right size to use. i thought it would have a lower and upper hose set up like other cars but its got the one piece which is easy. but the only size i have for the metal line is a 12MM and its a hair too big. its starting to strip it. if i strip it im screwed. anyone know what size it is? ill go to freakin autozone and get a line wrench if i have to but i need to know the right size. anyone?

if 12mm is too big, then its 7/16

JerzyIroc
02-13-2008, 10:11 PM
ya i can never figure out the metric to standard conversion. i just used a vice cuz i couldn't find my 7/16. works good. my girlfriend took two pics of the car a few days ago. how do i posit them?

the only thing with the pass side is the lower part of the bumper really. the rest of it is fine. actually the entire lower part of the bumper is messed up lol. on the driver side it looked just like the passenger side, clean. but three days after i got it i got hit by a truck. hopefully within the next two weeks ill get the check and get the car redone. good looking car in good condition, interior in decent condition, and good running 350 tpi for basically free. my boy gave me that nissan 240 for free. i traded the 240 for the msutang even. sold the mustang for 1300 and bought the iroc for 700! so actually i kinda got the car free plus 600 bucks! cant beat it 8-) but anyway, there she is!

theres a blue Iroc with silver GFX that drives by my house every day

just to be that guy...IROC's never came with different colored ground effects. they were monochromatic

but while we're on the subject of blue IROC's, my friend curt has a 1990 IROC thats blue. its a sweet car, but he NEVER drives it!
