Almost f'n killed me on 295 north before rt. 70 today. I was rolling with my friends from C.I. and this f***head decides to cut me off in order to make the exit. I had to swerve(an understatement) into the center lane nearly losing control. I fishtailed ALL OVER the center lane. Thank god I always wear my seatbelt because I got thrown around inside the car. I finally get it under control. Brandon(Demonicbird) was kind enough to flip the guy off for me as he went by. You can ask him how it looked since he was right behind me at the time.

This was done at 65 mph with slicks and skinnies on:shock:

Rob you defied all odds of getting hurt and wrecking your car. even with slicks, skinnies and no front sway bar lol post this one on Ls1tech in the "is it safe to remove my sway bar?" thread. good to see that nothing bad happened though!

Thanks Ron. Yeah we were talking about that at Ed(NJGOAT's) new house with Marc(LS1LT1). My buddy Steve said yeah that might not have been as bad with street tires up front. I said yeah that and a front sway bar. It pretty much sucked, but the outcome was good :)

most people drive 295 with their heads up their asses. then, when they finally get a ray of light up there, they remember that they were supposed to get off at the exit they're passing, and you get what happened here. it happens all of the time. i am surprised more people aren't killed by idiots like the one in the van.

glad you're ok, and capital F that guy in the van. did he see any of this, what he caused? i hope he has nightmares for a month.

At least your alright. I was fish tailing doing 80 on a local road (don't ask i was being dumb) and that was not fun at all, i definitely learned my lesson.

eh, about a year after I got my license and camaro I was going up 1&9 near the airport doing about 110 when someone came out of the shoulder and cut in front of me. The next 5-10 seconds were the longest of my life. All I saw was guardrail and toyota a few times. Idk how I saved it but it definetly stopped me from ever going that fast on any road. Lesson learned.

might want to think about changing the slicks and skinnies if you're driving that all the time on the street. As seen here that's just a disaster waiting to happen

If you guys think 295 is bad, try driving 85 through Durham, NC. Omfg.

Good to hear you made it alright though, that could of turned bad real quick.

Thanks Jim. Trust me he saw everything. When I had to swerve to miss him I ended up fishtailing right even with his driver's door.

Honestly if it were any other situation I would be fine, just not high speed emergency maneuvers.

What a dick.

Sucks you lost control so bad, I usually have a snapple bottle in my car for times like those, and that thing goes flying in the offenders direction. But glad your okay, it could of ended up much worse.

do you plan on making high speed emergency maneuvers? no. they happen just like you experienced. some a hole doesn't care and puts lives in danger. but having slicks and skinnies is not helping either. honestly, i would take them off and reinstall the sway bar. what's your life to a set of tires?

So as I said yesterday when u texted me....glad ur ok. but as a few people here have already posted...maybe u shouldnt be driving around with ur SLICKS and skinnies all the time? Accidents happen....and when they do...they are unexpected.

I would say not to DD slicks/skinnies/!sway, but I know that the TA is your 3rd car, and you don't drive it that often.....

it was a crappy situation.....but he wasnt out of control. he swereved and got on it like i did too as a "F-YOU" to the guy.

when rob got on it and got the rear loose he may have stepped the car to a 15 degree pitch

Well that makes more sense on why he was "fishtailing".

Everything feels worse as it's happening, as you should know when you raced Tim. I did get on it a split second after I straightened the car out when I was next to the guy and the back kicked out a little, but I let off and it was fine. Me getting on it was not the initial back end kicking out.

well i guess that goes back to my orig. post of maybe u shouldnt be rolling around with slicks and skinnies on ur car...it's not like u just left the track the other day....u've had plenty of time to change them.
