I love how it takes regular people to call in request play lists to finaly give us a real station in NY, i always thought it was funny how I could travel to other citys and turn on the radio at 8am and hear the sweet sounds of such bands as Pantera, White Zombie, GNR, Anthrax, Sepultura, Alice in Chains, Life of Agony etc. sooth me as I wake up and sip my coffee but here in NY, "the greatest city in the country" i had to hear one riff loser dumb bands for the last 5 years like I really wanted to hear The Used whining all over the air waves, or Radiohead try to write the most mondaine music known to man, or act like Coldplay was even remotly rock... Id listen to 105.5 id it came in or 104.3 if shelly sunstine would quit, but neither have heppend so far. But now I get to listen to real music again, thank you people for I am greatful.

The new user programing on the weekend is cool.
I still have 95.9 the Rat down here, and I just found a new station, 101.9. Its pretty cool, and has tons of good rock and roll from all years. I have added it to my "Top 4" aka only 4 presets in the Caprice.

I gave up on K-rock a long time ago. I switched to 105.5 whenever I can get a good reception, Q104.3, or 101.1 & now 101.9 if the other stations are really bad. I prefer the radio over CD's when I'm driving for some reason.

... sirius ftw.

millionaires?! 13 bucks a month isn't gonna break anyones budget, if you sign up for a year its under $150.. My sanity for being able to listen to radio without losing signal because I'm traveling, not having to fish for stations constantly, or being bombarded by ads (which is one thing i have always HATED about k-rock.. iw ant to listen to music, not commercials) is well worth that money. And I can listen to what i want to listen to when I want to listen to it. Not have to deal with some dj's choices and format changes from day to night.

I've heard 101.9, y'all get horrible radio stations out east. We get 107.1 which is awesome, 94.1 YSP is pretty good, as is 93.3 WMMR, but DHA is good too. I love listening to XM in mom's truck though. Or Ipod on shuffle.

Other stations are 106.3 and 95.1, but I have one question for K-ROCK, why the hell do you need a BRITISH DJ. It's like some of those reality shows, where the announcer has to belt out everything with that stupid accent(no offense to British people).

Internet radio is actually pretty cool. I'm talking to a few internet radio stations about playlists and getting some stuff played. You can stream it to your hard drive and record it and burn it to a cd and listen to it in your car too :D

have you tried www.pandora.com ?
you enter a band/artist and they try to play music similar to your tastes
you can vote yes/no to each song that plays & it adjusts accordingly

www.magnatune.com

Record label (you should look into this Steve), and internet radio. Lots of good stuff there.

I recommend this: http://www.magnatune.com/artists/williamson The artist describes it as "instrumental electronic space pop"

Thats awesome. Some good music there. I'm looking over the site and I'll definitely be emailing them. The only thing that caught my attention was the 50% split on profits for electronic copies of the music. Thats pretty high. CDBaby, Amazon, Best Buy, and others only charge 20%.

Yea, I've been listening to stuff on that site for a few years, and I have actually paid for some of the stuff I have liked. Judging by some of the descriptions that are there already, I don't think anything that you and Steve could dish out as an album description would surprise many.

Seems like we all listen to pretty much the same thing.

92.3 KRock is ok, this is usually my last resort kind of like a back up plan
93.3 WMMR is good
103.7 is i think just a sussex county station
104.3 good
105.5 WHDA is always good even with the family driving along
107.1 The Bone stationed in Easton,Pa is great

Squizz is good on XM

I have never got to listen to any sirus radio so i dont know whats good on there.

I do know that in the bird i just hook up my ipod, but if i am in another car such as the bonniville SSEi or the Slobalt I just play the radio or cd's
