Why is it un paid? That blows! But its good that you're healing well.. what baout getting a temp job thats not so physically strenuous until you can go back? You should be able to be a dispatcher or something, that requires no movement
its unpaid because it didnt happen there, and i cant do anything becasue we eliminated light duty at our work

Glad things went well. Take it easy and get all healed up! ( Then work tons of OT before the weather gets real nice and we start heading to the track! )

yeah then im screwed if somthing happens between may and decemberUse the sick time now. What's the difference if you use it now or, "possibly" between May and December?

if it works like state doc time does then he will have to get written doctors notes each day he calls out sick over 15 days per year and still possibly get disipinary action... the only way he could get around it is to get family leave and then family leave is no pay status as well
even if i burnt my sick, i would also need to burn vacation and personal before they give me a paid disability leave....i have enough time on the books that it would take over 3/4 of the time im out.....
whats the point of using all my time if by the time its used up and the paperwork is done, ill be back in work....
