okie dokey now, I just got 2 10x27 15 hoosier Drag slicks for $20, I already know it will be tight...but would it be dangerous to pop them on my 15x7 bird wheels?

look at hoosiers website, it will tell you what size rim is NEEDED for that size tire.
too much tire for your motor but whatever you wanna do

would they be 27x10.5x15 quick time pros?
Their site doesn't list a 27" tall full slick.
If they are QTPs, Hoosier's site says they need to be on an 8"-10" rim.

If you heat them up to much, they will lose grip. Like I said, it's a completely different rubber compound. Drag tires are designed to be heated up a decent amount, that makes the surface of the tire sticky and provides good traction. Circle track tires are designed to be used at a constant temperature for extended periods of time.

Not necessarily....circle track tires can have the same number printed on the sidewall and have over an inch difference in circumference. A lot of it has to do with the way they were handled when new.
We were always measuring tires when working on Randy99's modified.

No, Randy runs dirt. Post them up on racing junk or something, someone might grab them.

All I've done is add lots and lots of "unnecessary" weight to my car.

because that was before I had my connection, now I've been working with this guy for a while I managed to salvage A LOT of performance parts. and I have tweaked with the motor every chance I got. tomorrow night I'm gonna find out how much it helped, get my time slip and adjust from there. I finally settled the carb/timing issue which the problem came from neither one. I beefed up the rear suspension a tad and thats about all I'm willing to divulge at this point in time

ummm, sure, your kinda missing the point. just because the best I could do was a 15.0 5 months ago, don't mean the cars slow. it meant I had work to do, and just cause I didn't post about, doesn't mean it didn't get done
