how do you tell if you have 3 or 4 channel abs?

4 channel has sensors at the end of the axle...3 channel has a sensor on the pumpkin, and an exciter ring on the carrier.

Well, any of the aftermarket rears made for a 4th gen will bolt in just like a stocker, so there isn't any issues there. The S60 (even though it's static weight is more than a 12 bolt or 9") supposedly takes the least amount of power to turn, but you'll need to either have your stock driveshaft shortened, or (better idea) get an aftermarket driveshaft.

Justin,

Doesn't the S60 have a 1350 series yoke? I would think that alone would necessitate a new driveshaft...

Yes, but you can get a u-joint for your stock shaft that will fit. Not that it's the best course of action. If you're worried about breaking a 10 bolt, a stock driveshaft prolly won't have a long and healthy life in your car either.....

yea they make a new drive shaft although shortening is an option
