I dont know if this would be the correct spot to put this post or if its even allowed so mods do your thing if need be.

Awsome deal going on at Strauss Automotive... No I dont work there nor am i getting money for doing this, but they have a killer deal on the hatch/hood gas charged struts...

I finally broke down and was going to spend the $100 plus dollars to buy new hood and hatch struts after the ol' vise grip trick backfired. Was working on the car last summer when i guess i didnt have the vise grips tight enough holding up the hold. luckily i wasnt working under it but it ended up letting go and squashed the vise grips between the fender and hood of my ORIGINAL PAINT CAMARO!!! ugg was I pissed!!! kinda kinked the hood a bit but getting it fixed. Anyway i reasearched prices last year and couldnt believe how expensive these things are! so i passed up replacing them knowing that winter was coming and the car will be parked.

Anyway the beginning of this week i went price shopping again and was still getting the same prices at most of the chain stores: 25.99 each for the hood and like 45.99 each for the hatch.. dont quote me on the prices they kinda slipped my mind there just ballpark. Anyway was about to shell it out when i check Strauss's website. They have a print out coupon for $5 off each shock and they had both hatch and hood in stock! Saved 20 bucks!

With tax it came to $70.00!!! Like i said im not sponsored by them or any crap like that haha jus figured id pass along what i think is a really good deal that alot of people im sure like my self pass up spending the money on for something else. Hopefully no one had the same experience i did especially if you were under the hood! Plus i know alot of people must have the same problem becuase the steel hold weighs about 2.5 frigin tons! And i never knew how much the hatch weighed til i took the shocks off tonight, i guess its that huge piece of glass.

Finally they have a lifetime warranty on them to so buy them once and never again.. i dont know the details on the warranty, didnt read up on it, but it was on the packaging.
