WTF???????

OK, my wife and I were invited over to her sister's for pizza tonight. A bunch of the family are in for Easter, so tonight was supposed to be a pre-Easter get together. No time frame was given, just a "come when ya can." My wife spoke to them @ 6PM, and the pizza hasn't been ordered yet. My wife had to run a few errands, so she told them we'd be over about 8. Cool. The wife goes out to do her biz, and I continue working around the house. At 8:15 I call the wife, and she is behind schedule. So, I tell her I'll go over to the party, and for her to just head over there. Well, I get over there @ 8:25, and ALL the fuggin' pizza, except for one fuggin' slice was GONE! I thought they were bustin' my chops, so I yucked it up for about a micro-second, then was like "make with the pizza, 'cause I'm f'n hungry!" Well, they weren't screwing with me: all the pizza, except for one slice, was GONE! So, I flip out, and tell 'em thanks alot for wasting my f'n time, and the least they coulda done is call me about the situation. So, I bust outa the house, and call my wife, who was on her way over. So now my wife is also put out, because she hadn't eaten, either. I offered to run out and get a pie, but she said she would get us something, since she was already out. So, she was nice enough to go back to the store for food, and nice enough to make me Sloppy Joes when she got home. 'Cause she knows Sloppy Joes put me in a good mood. Well, I'm still trying to talk her into blowing off her family tomorrow and going out for our Easter meal. I'm not taking this diss lightly! :-x

OUCH damn bob that SUCKS. I've had that happen with friends a few times and it always makes me mad let alone family.

my wife and i were recently married and my dad invited us to a BBQ. i told him that she was working that day, would get off at 3:00 and we would be there by 4:30. i told him the exact time we would be there. we rolled up at 4:25. went around back of the house where the BBQ was being held, introductions all around since he had some people there that i didn't know. ok, so that's done, we've got drinks in hand and i ask where's the food. his girlfriend says she put everything away except for some fruit salad. i reacted as politely as i could, stayed about 15 minutes and then we left. understand, i went out of my way to travel from toms river to burlington only to have fruit salad? we stopped at a wawa and got some grub on the way home. that was the last time i've seen my dad. some might think i overreacted, but plans were made, times were stated - and there was only fruit salad when we got there. there is an underlying current, too - my dad's a racist and i married a latina. he never said anything out loud about her, other than her ability to speak english - giving the excuse that she couldn't speak english as to why he didn't talk to her. so there are probably other reasons brewing just underneath as to why we don't talk anymore - but the straw that broke my back was the BBQ.

Geez, the least they could've done was call you or your wife and let you know they already ate and there was nothing left. Even I can't survive on 1 slice of pizza!
