I finally had a chance to get my 1985 Black Trans Am out of storage. Car turned over on my first attempt. Has been stored since early December.

Drove through town and in Paramus NJ. Cruised on the Garden State Parkway !!

Great Storage Tip- Battery Tender + Battery Charger is the best. Only charges the battery if a drop in voltage is detected and will not overcharge. I have been using it for the past 5 years !!! Worth every penny, apprx $50.00.
Need to get ready for Dyno Day !!

Look Out for the Black TA

Later

i just disconnect my battery... lol, even though i may get this one tender from the company that makes my car cover. It trickle charges the battery if needed, and then if the local power goes out, it switches over to power my car cover, and then recharges the battery when power comes back on.

napa sells one for 40 bucks. just got one today as a bday gift for my buddy's motorcycle. its nice. charges the battery up then floats above 13.x volts, starts charging if it drops below that. really nice. two color led indicator with a label to tell you whats up. even has alligator clips and eyelits or however its spelled.

i left my batt in the car not connected to anything...not even a motor in the car. i need a new batt to say the least. the positive terminal is leaking acid and making a mess. im not even going to put it on the charger cause it will most likely blow up. so im trying to decide to get another $40 batt or spend some money on an optima....but im DEF getting a battery tender. they are awesome

I'd buy one if i had a garage to keep my car in, oh well.. i'll just let it die and run the charger on it for a few hours when need be

Battery Tender is a great item. The + model has 2 connection types, clamps and direct bolt on to the battery.

I used to take the battery out, but now I leave it in the car connected to the Battery Tender. It just works for me

I bought mine fro PEP Boys, which seems to ha:lol:ve better prices than others, Autozone and R&S.

Thanks

We have one that's battery tender brand and plugs into the cigarette lighter. Works great.

I use a battery tender junior on my bike (the leads are hard mounted and I have the plug hidden underneath).

And I use the tender plus on my cars, I usually alternate between a couple usually.

Heh...Tell Steve to go to the junkyard for a Ram hood ornament....think that would fool the old man?
