well friday was one of the few weekends i have left i am leaving to the marines soon so i decided to spend the weekend at seaside for junior prom , get in the car cruising down get stopped by 4 state troopers supposedly tailgating one of them so i end up getting a tailgating ticket reckless driving and 105 in a 55 , but it gets alot better i was so pissed off heart raceing the whole night and i wake up in the morning to find out my car was keyed in the parking lot, diagonal from windshield to headlight foot prints on it on hood was pressed down passanger door from door jam to rear quarter over the OLD FILLED IN key marks

just remember when you think it cant get any worse believe me its possible

sucks about whatever happened in the parking lot, but you cant really complain about getting the tickets if you were doing 50 over

btw are you a junior or were you just at the prom? high school **** is just begging to get a nice car screwed with

Yea I feel bad about the parking lot keying situation too.
But as for the tickets, like Mike said... 105 in a 55... come on man wtf were you thinking you basically got what you had coming to you, and I know the pain.... I have several speeding tickets and points. You got to slow down man.

that really sucks about your car getting messed with. Seaside is notorious for trouble. The tickets though, c'mon. You were doing 105 in a 55... while tailgating a cop!

i don't know which is worse... 105 in a 55 or tailgating a cop while doing it. sounds to me like they nailed you and they could've done far worse (impound the car, take you to jail, etc.)

you can't park a nice car in seaside. you either need to park it in seaside park and walk down to the heights or find a garage to park it in. if you leave it on the street, well, **** happens.

yea bu honestly who has done 55 on the PARKWAY, if you go 70-80 thats like barely keeping up with traffic i had to pass some one so yea what any of u guys would of done downshifted and cut over but not like cut the guy of just shot over real quick because some one else was merging into his lane so i got screwed for it

Mike

If that is the worst weekend of your life you're in good shape. I don't see any mention of loss of health, job or life.

its an argument you won't win on here bob don't even try. we've all pushed the limits of our car at one point or another knowing the risk whether people admit it or not. sucks you got caught but it happens. when i had my car in high school i did plenty of stupid **** and got caught once and while.

driving a loud flashy car like yours has pull me over written all over it even when you do the speed limit, getting caught doing some illegal in it is even worse. best move i ever made was getting a daily driver and only taking the camaro out for fun, driving your car everyday is way to risky.

Ok I'm guessing your name is bob since we never met. I don't know where you got pulled over but you should go to court and fight the ticket. Now before everyone jumps on my back listen to me first.

When I was 17 I had a V6 camaro and I was on 35 south, I made a left to cut over to go back on 35 north because that was the side of the highway my friends house was on that I was staying at. I get to the end of the SHORT road and then get on 35 north move over to the right lane immediately and find a spot to park at the end of my friends street. No sooner I turn the car off Cop lights go on and I'm told to stay in the car. Long story short I got a wreckless driving ticket. Cop said I sped down the street but he didn't have radar on and then I spun my tires getting onto 35 north, because there isn't sand on the street and everyone spins their tires. Anyway I went to court and told the cop and prosecutor that I was joining the marines and it wouldn't look good on my record if I got this ticket and I would do anything to have it lessened. They dropped it to obstructing traffice a non-moving violation and made me pay like $350 dollar fine.

You are in the marines and going off to IRAQ, if a cop, prosecutor, judge don't give you a break for that then they deserve the bad reputation they get. It can't hurt to try worse case scenario they laugh at you and you pay an extra $65 dollars for court fees.

so you think he should try to get a break for 50 over just because he is leaving for bootcamp? he isnt a marine yet, and if he was it would be less of an excuse because someone with the dicipline to be a marine shouldnt be doing 50 over the speed limit

cbr i agree wit u expect for the part of if he was following the cop while doing 105. did the cop have his lights on to be doing 105? and if not, whats the reason for the cop to be going that fast? but like i said be4 i agree with u cbr just dont get why the cops he was following was doing 105 in the frist place and yes i kno, the old say "do as i say, not as i do" plays a part here.

where does it say he was? maybe doing 105 up behnd the cop that was doing 80 was the reason he got close enough to tailgate before he realized it was a cop? because why tailgate a cop if you know its a cop?

he just named the tickets he got, he didnt say the order of events

CBR I'm not going to try to argue with you because I see you are a cop and the boys in blue are always right.

I'm just telling him my experience when I was younger and they were willing to cut me a break for supposedly speeding down a side street and fishtailing onto a highway carelessly. I lied my ass off to I wasn't anywhere near going into the marines, but I didn't want the points. He actually IS going into the marines they might show him some leniency and cut him some slack for serving his country.

Honestly I hate seaside and my bird has never been back in that area since senior prom weekend. I was traveling down the main strip and a few of these import guys ahead of me decided to start swerving. Come to find out there are these really bad sunken in man holes so I swerve a bit as well because these looked like they could have screwed up even my stock 16's with 50 series tires.

Well cop pulls me over and said I was being careless for swerving. I indicated that the manholes were very unkept and would have messed up any car. He didn't care and wrote me a ticket for careless driving. I fought the ticket in court and won but it was still extremely bothersome.

I have other tales of seaside but let's just say there are many reasons to hate that town and some of the people that go there.

Sucks about the car getting screwed up but you did get lucky the car didnt get impounded (well maybe not considering the damage). Hang in there.

I tend to disagree with some of cbrr's replies. this time I agree. I drive like an ******* but I never ever ever fly up on a cop's ass... i pace them from behind if I have to , usually get out from behind em and wait for em to move or park for a speed trap(I do alot of turnpike/parkway driving in the Z). Statey cars are super easy to spot , even the unmarked ones. You cant cry about getting caught doing over 100 mph.

i never said im always right nor do i want to argue with you, the kid did 50mph over the speed limit, it wont get him any leniency now that the ticket is written.....had he had some quick wit and said somthing on the side of the road it may have worked, but now its on the record and they cant just throw it away

again not arguing, but the judge can do whatever he wants. If they want to reduce the ticket to a non-moving violation they can. He will probably have to pay a hefty fine but it's up to the judge. No harm in trying to plead the ticket down. You'd be surprised how imaginative they can be in court when it serves their best interest. i.e.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

jims69camaro

especially since a percentage of certain tickets gets forwarded to the state. if they can, they will do whatever it takes to keep the moeny here instead of the state getting some.

reason why i got a beater....got pulled one night in the t/a for no reason, just the cops being jerk0ffs...but the beater is still a bird

and nouri, come on dude....down there is the worst place to speed almost as bad as rt19 at the wrong time of day. all the cops are down there bc of the dumb kids anyway. should waited till you got back up here on rt 46 behind my house like everyone else
