Just stoppin in to say hey. I didn't really have my SS long enough to hang around before it got totaled back in Nov. I've decided its time to spend money on some more important things than cars. I've wasted about every dime I've made in the last 5 years on cars so... Puttin gettin another F-bod or vette off for a while. Just wanted to drop in and say whats up!

All bolt on's minus headers. They're comin as soon as I sell the stuff off the camaro. And that 12.9 was on a bad tune. Once I get it to Matts for dyno time, I expect to see a 12.8 in good wx, maybe a 12.79. But itll have at the very least headers by the time good weather rolls around again and possibly a cam. So itll definitely go 12.7s by the time fall rolls around regardless. No bad for a daily drivin grocery getter huh!

not bad at all, mines stock other than a cai, i use it as a dd and to tow the trans am

I hope you tuned for that CAI. Its a wonder you ran that time if you didn't tune it. I had a friend who ran a 14.8 w/ a cai, took it off and ran 14.0. They run very lean for some reason w/ a CAI. I know you're a 2wd w/ a 1.9 60' and only that mod. My other buddy got his to a 13.53 bone stock @ 102. I'm AWD. W/ a good tune in it, its got a 12.8@104 in it. My Imp, If I just learn to put enough gas in it before the run, thats got a 12.4 in it.....

And I bought mine to tow the Imp, but when I went to sell my Gixxer to buy a trailer, someone stole it so I lost 3500 bucks....

Thats crazy you cut a 1.9 w/ a awd and those mods. I know of only a few guys who have done the same in a AWD. HPtuners actually doesn't support any aftermarket CAI's, none of the handhelds do. At those times, your's must not be leaning out that bad. Lucky... At WOT the tables jump considerably w/ a CAI. Wierd I know.....

Actually, I think HPtuners does support it. Its the SC's that won't....

I was, I'm beat. I'm usually in bed by 10 since I went to my new section but I have to go back to my old section tomorrow night to help out because manning is so low, so I'm tryin to get myself back on night shift schedule. Gonna go turn in and get up early and do some fishin. Then have a morning meeting, then probably catch some sleep before my 12hr night shift....

Nah, I was supposed to go but didn't feel up to it. After hearing about the day, I'm glad I didn't. I would have been one of the fastest one's out there though. Probably would have been 13.0s all day. 12.8s if I didn't let her get hot.

Welcome to the site! I used to have a '96 DGGM Imp SS a few years ago. Man, I miss that car! My best with it was a 14.63; only mods were a Flowmaster cat-back and K&N FIPK.

yea, they're great cars. I wish mine was nicer.... Its a big piece of crap, but it runs like a bat outta hell.... I'm gonna start building an 11 second N/A motor here shortly. Gonna try to forge it for a 200 shot, but we'll have to see if funds allow that part... Then this motor goes in the garage as a back up motor.

I doubt it. It was hardly on there..... I put it on there to F w/ all the ferds in the area and caught so much crap about it I took it off. No one liked it, I coulda cared less, was just there to egg people on. And I've only traveld the TP like twice w/ the TBSS and I don't believe I had the calvin on there back then.

LOL ;)8-) the chances of us actually being at the wawa at the same time from work without coordinating was crazy lol. Might have put up a better fight had I raced you with my intake and tune....or did I have that at the time? lol it was so long ago.

Ohhh, you had it at the time sucka. And I was on no traction at 50mph... God that car was fun, god I miss that car. But I probably would have killed myself in it, maybe not... Man I miss that car...

You really have to be careful with those things. I had one really bad scare in my T/A in PA at my buddy's house. Try taking a 25 mph offramp slowing down from 120 hard on the brakes hitting the ramp at 85 with my foot through the floor.(didn't know the area). SCARY was not the word for it. The only thing that went through my head was.....this is it, I'm dead. There was jersey barriers lining the inside of the ramp and a 25 foot slope going down on the other side with no gaurd rail. We went back the next day and you can see 2 tire marks then they combing into one all the way around the turn. I got to see where I was going though my passenger window instead of the windshield :(

Next time I'll bring the Impy... Then we can both spin off the line!!! And then I can hang w/ you from a roll!!! Till then, bring the camera and some new tires next time for the TBSS!
