If you could I would appreciate it. I *think* he on Kirby Ave, parallel to East Main Street. It is a building behind a chain link fence IIRC over by the train tracks. Could be Fairview though.

I've heard the name and believe I may have even gone to school with his kids in Bridgewater. If Bill can't roll by there PM me and I'll see what I can find out. You may also want to try Competition Engines in Raritan if you're looking for a good local shop.

Thanks Hardcore, ill keep that in mind. Its hard to find a shop you can trust, I sort of know Al and I know someone who used his services a lot and I really only considered him. I want to have my 350 from my 88 GTA taken apart, hot tanked and magnafluxed to make sure it isnt cracked. Then maybe have them do a cheap rebuild on it

I think there are a couple good builders in the area. My dad and brother used Tony Feil at Competition Engines on Orlando Dr, they seemed to be very good.

His stuff is pretty well respected in the local dirt racing scene - he can build a killer oval track big block.

Yeah, I believe that. My bro's 427 made 621 hp/555lb-ft through a Victor Jr, factory 049 heads w/pocket porting and oversized valves, 12.5:1 and a big cam. Nothing too too crazy. The engine dyno pull was pretty cool.

Why not use one of our sponsors?

My first thought was of Al only because I have dealt with him before. I forgot Josh and TTP do this stuff too. Actually J&S will probably be cheaper than Al anyway, I called Al yesterday and spoke to his son.
Thanks

Explain undrivable ???
PolarBear

Well I would have to take the Solstice apart, and as my other project it really wasnt "legally" on the road. Plus I tend to leave things unfinished, like the interior of the 91, so if I took the Solstice apart it probably would never be finished. I have to wait until the warranty expires before I turn any wrenches on that car.
Scott is the only one who knows I got another car, and this one is "undrivable".

Yes but in my case the 91 isnt actually finished. I DO love that sheetmetal interior though......
