Well, I finally retired my jeep. As it sits now, its got 290k on it, and I needed something that could tow a small trailer, so I decided to give it a break, and picked this up:

Its VERY clean, fully optioned v8 with a tow package. it is high mileage, but the way it was cared for, i have no doubts it will go for a long time. And I just couldn't beat the price I got it for. Fuel mileage is only about a half mpg lower than my I6, we'll see how it tows this weekend :D

Very clean, nice find. IIRC I read that the trannies fail more often behind the v8s.....318 or 360?

It's a 318 / A4, and yes, the trannies in them are known to fail. I already talked to Melissa about it.

its really not too bad. I put just over 80 miles on it today, and I parked it with an average of 16.3. My cherokee only got 16.7 usually, with a max of 20mpg coming back from VT at 55 mph

I only paid $1800 for it, its got 158k, new windshield, new battery, new brakes, fresh filled AC and decent tread left on the tires. i think it would have cost about that to get all the little things wrong with my cherokee fixed. The guy I bought it from is one of our racers, he bought it for his nephew from a customer of his at his garage, then found out his nephew couldn't have a car on campus his freshman year at school, so he gave it to me for what he had in it. Definitely no complaints :D

Nice ZJ!
How much for the ZJ?
If you have to ask pal...you cant afford it.

So now...Jeep total is equal to Camaro total. Is there some sort of special discount that fbody owners get on Jeeps?

They just go well together.....ditch the Caprice and join the club!

No thanks. Caprice is the king. If I ditch the Caprice, it wont be for a truck that gets worse gas milage and less interior room.
