Itching for a car...

Well after ditching my camaro to buy my toyota, then moving onto my chevy truck I'm itching for a car again... I'm thinking Monte SS with a decent 355, 700r4 with a manual valve body and ratchet shifter and a 12b out of an old A body.

I cant wait for graduation money. Just gotta pay my debt off, finish putting 1 ton axles under my truck and start looking for a cheap ass Monte to build.

Yeah $5000 is a little much for a project car. I'm gonna build the motor first. Thinking roller 350 with a nice cam, vortec heads with the .550 springs to handle lift, 1.5's and a stock bottom end. I'm aiming for high 300's at the crank.

My goal is to build the motor for under $1500. We'll see how well I can budget myself.

Think the rest will be in weight nazism to reach my quarter mile goal. I'd like to just break 12's. Transmission and rear end are up in the air but I know I'm gonna do a megashifter and manual valve body. 3.43 gears sound pretty good since it will probably be my daily driver by next winter.
