A judge in Florida says the 17-year-old son of wrestler Hulk Hogan should serve eight months in jail for reckless driving. Nick Bollea was led off to begin his sentence immediately after Friday's ruling. He will be on five years' probation and lose his driving privileges for three years.

Authorities say Bollea was racing a friend in his father's sports car when he clipped a curb, spun out of control and slammed into a palm tree in downtown Clearwater, Florida, last August.

The impact left his friend critically injured and in need of lifetime medical care.

Bollea pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge.

what an idiot. His father is an even bigger idiot. Im sorry i couldnt imagine giving my 17 old son an 800 hp supra of all cars. (dont have a 17 year old kid just for the record... im 23 lol) What makes me hate his father more is there are sooo many videos online of both him and his son racing around with their other supra buddies. What a great thing to teach your son. Look where it got him and that poor kid.

well that was his fathers car. last i heard it was pushing over 850whp. i believe titan/cft tuned it. wat makes me sick is how terry encouraged his crazy driving. i really hope he feels even more guilty than his son for all this.

This actually reminds me of something that happened up north where my dad works. Idk if anyone had read but recently a 17 year old kid crashed his convertible corvette doing 120 in a 35 and rolled, was ejected and killed himself.

So my dad is in retail kitchen sales at a high end place. One of the guys that he works with , lets say his name is john, had this big $100,000 + kitchen sale and the people where really involved in picking things out and checking up etc. So about 2 weeks goes by and theres no word from these people. John calls them up and says "Hey is everything alright we havent heard from you?". The women replies with "We had a family incident, our son passed away."

So taken back John is speechless and say the typical "I'm so sorry, what happened, do you want to call off your order blah blah." The women replies saying "No it will be a good thing to try to take our mind off of it." And she tells him about the accident and how her husband had bought their son the car for his 17th birthday.

The line goes quiet and her husband gets on the phone. Now he in no way knows John personally or anything like that. He gets on the line and says "Its my fault our son is dead. I never should have put him behind the wheel of that car" and he hangs up.

My mom was actually in tears at the whole parental what if that was me thing.

My point is the kid is lucky as **** hes alive and Hulk is a moron for giving that car to his son. **** hits really close to home some times.

HHHMMMM, Maybe thats why my Dad wouldn't let me buy the 77 Formula with the built Pontiac 400 and made me buy the 79 Firebird with the 301 when I was 18. Guess I should thank hiim but I soooo wanted that car! Stars and their children are morons

Same here, If I have son or daughter, they will be driving either a 4 or 6 cylinder first. Im glad my first car was my Ranger, its slow, and taught me that I dont need to race around to get where im going, to take my time, adn to this day im still one of the slowest drivers out of all my friends.

It's sad cause I heard he had a deal to become a professional D1 driver, but now thats all down the drain you know, he couldnt hold his urge back to do that on the track, that to me shows unprofessionalism. Plus they didnt say which jail he';s going to, most liekly one of those minimun security, might as well be a spa type jail, I couldnt see that kid in an "actual" jail, he'd be someone's bitch in no time.
