so how many of them do you think will be on Ebay starting this week? All the 2008 Challengers are pre-sold and most likely to dealers looking to flip them for a quick markup.

All the 2008 Challengers are SRT8's
2009's start in a month or two, full line from SE V6 to SRT8.

I absolutly love these cars

guy has a few up there but bidding time ending in 1 hour from now - guess he was hoping for some hype and bidding wars from those that could get one of the 08's and looks like that just didnt happen - plus he dosnt have the cars yet as it would seem.

Two weeks ago, me and ChevyT454 were hanging out at the Whiskey Cafe Car Show in my town, Lyndhurst. Great show. Anyway, some guy came from the manufacturer in Michigan with an '09 Challenger in that Hugger Orange color. It was such an awesome car, so beautiful. Too bad no one was payin any attention to the '55 Chevy next to it that had a 502 in it, ha ha, such a nice car, the '55 Chevy that is as well as the Challenger. Later, Jeff.

The first run of them will be limited in terms of options, but the '09s will have everything available. I cant wait to see one on person!

I work on the LX platform (300 C) every day and I'll be the first to say I'm not real excited about the challenger.

I find it pretty obvious that they most likely rushed this to beat the camaro (and already had the LX platform ready to go obviously), and gm is FINALLY taking their time and making sure their cars are done right.... I forsee many problems in this challenger's future

They killed the Magnum line for the Challenger, so they had a manufactoring line ready. I like the fact that Dodge is actually gonna make a coupe. It's just a shame they never made a woody Magnum.

The '09 model is in the new issue of PHR and they made some nice changes to the car to make it look more like the '70. They changed the grill, headlights, and front bumper and it looks niiiice :)

Look MORE like the 70?!? All the ever did was round the corners a tad, put in safety equipment, and throw the standard issue plastic dodge truck interior into it

BTW, Challenger has been in production for a while now.
They just took the turret off.

Exactly. Not so much the "new" Challenger as it's the "updated" Challenger.

I do not think the magnum was killed in lieu of the Challanger. From what I read they killed the magnum due to severe lack of interest. I believe the pacifica and the crossfire died the same day. The new owners Cerebus did it.

Magnum was killed because of the lack of sales.

The Pacifica, Magnum, Crossfire, and the PT Cruiser convertible all died last December.

You can get whats left, Cerberus said last December that as of that day, production was stopping for those four cars, at least thats what the news said.

Ultimately sales is what did kill it, but they didn't want to kill the line. In all the sales hoopla that was coming out at work (I work at a Dodge dealership) said they were gonna "revamp the Magnum with new styling." When they decided to put the Challenger into production, the Magnum was doomed. I still think a Magnum with the fake eighties wood would have been funny.

I like them but they really don't get me excited. I'm looking forward to seeing them on the road but don't imagine I will ever own one.
