you can't run shorty headers on those k-members fyi. says it in the description

well damn. My service manager told me he knows a guy that put an ls1 in an s-10 and it fit right in.

apples & oranges. you might be able to use yours if you want to fab stuff up, maybe modify the oil pan, etc (I don't know the true difference, just speaking in hypotheticals), or you could get the part GM made for you (or aftermarket equivalent). To put the LS1 in my 67, I will need engine adapter plates and a modified oil pan and special headers (at this point all of whicj I can make or buy). Sure it fits right in, but actually bolting it in and making it work are different.
I'll sell you a stock one cheap. LOL

let me find a motor and trans first. I thought I had a steal from that totaled SS.
