Can you get a little more descriptive? "Weird" can mean a lot of things....

like there is no bass at all, i really cant describe it. im gonna try to just hook it up to the type r's and see what happens. if i do that, does anyone know what i should set the amp crossover freq. to, and what to set the speaker crossovers themselves to

try setting the filters to hpf at about 80hz. if its on lpf then that may be the cause of your problems.

remember, gains are not for volume or power. they are simply to match the voltage coming from your head unit. make sure it is matched correctly. find someone to do it for you if you can't.
