The driver side goes up and down fine, the passenger goes about 1/8th the way down and stops then has a bit of trouble getting back up.....thinking i should replace the motor....woundering if this is a hard job becsaue i hear it was on a 4th gen, i have a 3rd gen and wanted to know it would be as hard.... if anyone has a easy way of doing it i would like to hear
thanks

Not too difficult. I think its just a few rivets that hold the regulator to the door. Only thing I can remember to be careful with is when removing the motor from the regulator. The regulator is spring loaded to assist the motor while putting the window up. Make sure you put a bolt or something through so it doesn't fling back at you when you take it apart. Also, an extra set of hands may help to hold the window up.
I have an old regulator around somewhere, I'll try and get some pics of where to put the bolt.

this guy is absolutely correct. easy fix. if you dont have a friend to hold the window up a block of wood with body tape works well.

Just line up the hole in the regulator with the hole in the gear and put a bolt through. Took the pic on my phone so its a little blurry.

yeah its not that bad. lube up the window tracks while you're in there. and you need a rivet tool.

I use a C clamp to hold the window up

MY 93 Z HAD 3 SMALL PIN PUNCHES IN THE DOOR SKIN THAT I DRILLED OUT TO GET TO THE MOTOR RIVETS EASY WITHOUT TAKING THE WHOLE UNIT OUT

got it done!
took no time to come out...
messed around with me while trying to go back in haha
i suggest to use nust and bolts in place of the rivits..... i used them and it was all together and i put the window up and pop! two of them came out so i found nuts and bolts that would work
