View Full Version : Do You Modify Your Daily Driver??

Just outta curiosity, since most of us are "car people," do you mod your daily driver as well?

Personally, I can't leave anything stock; everything gets "personalized." ;) I added a bunch of stuff to my Cherokee over the last few years, including silver gauge overlays, new stereo/speakers, clear corner lights, 18" Dodge Magnum R/T rims and tires, Bilstein shocks, rear disc brakes pirated from a '97 Grand Cherokee, and rear seat headrests also pirated from the same Grand. And it'll get a Dynomax catback as soon as the OEM exhaust rots off. :lol:

So, how 'bout you??

Once put a cheap ebay cone "cold air intake" filter directly on the throttle body of a suzuki sidekick...whole 3 cyclinders of fun!!

I modify pretty much everything. Here's my old Boston Whaler Rage jet boat. It had a Yamaha 650 engine and I found which power parts fit! It was rated at 50 hp stock and probably 75-80 after the mods! That boat ran so much better after modifying it.

Gotta mod the DD at least a little bit. Lightning = modded
GTP = modded a little
Next DD = keep it stock (well stock the way the previous owner sold it to me 472rwhp :mrgreen: )

Theres nothing to modify! The S10 is a good daily driver, and if I did anything it would be apperance wise, but I can't justify the money.

My DD is a friggin woods truck. So far from stock between 36in mud tires and a flatbed its rediculous.

I added the Coke stain mod, the donut sprinkle mod, the dusty dash cover mod and the too-many-CD's-in-the-door-pouch mod.

I just -can't- keep my cars stock.

Of course, what kind of world would this be if you DIDN'T modify your primary vehicle? Its great to have 5 cars to choose out of & only modify one, however I would always make that one the one I drive the most ;)

Yes, but not extensively. Bully bar, more aggressive tires, drop in air filter, eagle decals.

No, that costs $$. :lol: Besides, I do not consider a K&N a mod. Nor an aftermarket headunit that replaces a broken OE one. Hell, I stepped up to H rated tires last time. That is no mod (!ride comfort maybe).

truck got a cold air, tune, the sterio, upgraded leather (shiftboot, console cover, ebrake boot) and the color matched badges and tint

civic is getting DE-MODDED so that i can use it as a daily.....oem wing is going back on, half installed nitrous is coming off, ricer exhaust and rims are coming off.
i am however going to install oem parts from higher trim levels so that i can have the alloy wheels and all that stuff....

Does JB Weld on the lawn mower gas tank constitute a mod? LOL
