Don't get a speeding ticket!
Starting today, New Jersey will launch a 30 day speeding ticket frenzy.

The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be generated in
speeding
tickets. 1 million will go to pay state troopers' overtime.

There will 50 state troopers on duty at all times patrolling the 9 main
interse ctions and highways.

They are the following:

I-295 north and south

1-95 (Jersey Turnpike) north and south

1-80 east and west

I-287 north and south

I-78 east and we st

1-195 east and west

1-280 east and west

Rt.

130 north and south

Garden State Parkway north and south
5 mph above the limit can justify a ticket and every state trooper is
supposed to pull a car over and write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes.

They have issued 30 brand new unmarked Crown Victoria c ruisers and are
bringing in all of their part timers on full time.

If you work in NJ,
NY, DE or CT you will probably take one of these highways.

It's up to
you how fast you are going when they clock you. 101.

5 FM has confirmed
all of this. So be safe and don't forget speeding tickets are on you.

Driving Ticket fine increase in NJ: Starting on August 15th, the price
of a ticket for violation of NJ Law 39:3-29 (failure to show your
driver's license, registration, or insurance card at the t ime you are
stopped) is going from $44.00 to $173.

Please make sure your vehicles
have the proper documents in them.

Forward to people in NJ, and let them know of this change.

And be
careful, the fine for hand held cell phone use while driving will be
going up to $180.

well im not really sure how credible this is, or how old it is, but i drive the parkway everyday to get to school and i see cars being pulled over EVERYDAY since last month...one time in the span of a mile on the gsp north i saw three cars each with 3 different troopers pulled over, and on the southbound side of the gsp another car pulled over. 4 in the span of one mile.

i dont speed anymore i learned my lesson with that, but i know everyone with f bodies have to speed every now and then, just watch it.

ok, yes this e-mail is bofues etc and theres no specific speeding frenzy crackdown, however, there is a real increase in seatbelt use enforcement. No longer do states focus on a month of "click it or ticket", its now an ongoing focus for all police, all the time. You'll notice it by clickit or ticket signs, banners, and road work light up signs. Also several members of law enforcement, nj and ny have told me about the increase in enforcement.

so my point is, wear your seatbelt, its not worth the fine. and your life IS worth it.

I counted on my way home
(although i drove down campgaw road passing the police/fire academy)

7 unmarked cars (5 CVs and 2 Impalas)
2 marked SUVs
1 marked CV

not bad for driving 8 miles
