i was haulin on rt17 toward wiskey cafe tonite in 2nd gear in my 95 Z28 A4. get in the car to go home, no 2nd gear!!!!! 1st is pretty, revvvsssss till i get fast enough for 3rd, then 4th is fne too.
this is my DD and i need it to get to the academy on monday! lol is it ok to drive if i take it easy?? i hope so, ive got money for a rebuild that was supposed to be for a new motor for the 88.....

that happened to me once...a 2nd gear shift put a hole through the servo and it lost pressure to hold the band for 2nd gear.
if the trans isnt shot, if you keep driving it, even if you take it easy, you will most likely cause further irrepairable damage. get it looked into asap.

fluid looked new, nice n pink, no crap in it or metal pieces on the dip stick. i rolled to work today but its parked now, guna call my tranny guy tomarrow and set up an appointment, gotta get my parents to drop it off since im super busy all week n hopefully i can take moms grand prix :)

the look sometimes isnt as important as the smell...

If it smells bad, chances are it looks bad....tranny fluid that is....and tranny fluid is such a good cleaner/ degreaser that sometimes brand new fluid can look " maroonish/ grayish" in a matter of minutes.

dropped it off yesterday and they had it rebuilt and back together ready to go today! my mom talked to my trans guy, she sed he used some corvette parts lol. watever he did, it feels freakin awesome, and he sed that someone had been in there before and didnt do such a hot job...

i dono if this is the case, but soooooo many freakin people say corvette this and that with camaros. i love anyone in the world that says a particular camaro has a vette engine in it and its just a stock LT1 or LS1!!!!! freakin noobs

His tranny guy probably put a corvette servo in his tranny. It is actually an upgrade to what a stock camaro/ bird would have.

Yep, exactly what I was thinking.
The "Corvette" parts thing is pretty funny though. I owned a Vette that had a stock 165hp 350, looking back I probably should have marketed it as a "Vette" motor for the extra $.

he put the vette servo in my 700r4 in the 88 so im assuming he did it to this one as well lol, that was just wat my mom sed!
