I picked a great weekend to detail (94+ degrees out) but I got started last night at about 7:30PM and finished up on the wax today after the sealant cured. I'm very pleased with the results! This 11 year old paint still has something left.

Big thanks to Rich for all his knowledge and answering all my questions

Looks great man! But I'm a little concerned about washing a car with Dawn. Wouldn't that not be safe on the clear coat?

I only wash with dawn if I'm looking to remove any wax that is on the car. I normally wash with Tropi-Care car wash concentrate and a microfiber mitt.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, it was def. more difficult because of the weather.

The only reason to use dawn would be to strip any wax etc. off the paint and then only use a couple drops in the bucket. Using straight dawn over and over isnt good for the paint. I've never personally seen it happen but supposedly over years it dries out the paint and can lead to premature clearcoat failure or haziness in the clear.

Hell yea I was. I sweat just thinking unfortunately so any kind of movement gets me really going. My family calls it the "DeLuca Drip".
