Nobody is "useless" when they come to help a fellow hot rodder out. Just the comradery alone adds to the positive vibe of the day. And good ideas can come from anyone, not just the guys holding the wrenches. Plus knowledge can be passed around, and new skills aquired. And it adds to the faith that people can and will show the milk of human kindness and help another person out.

Tools tools tools...bring em on!

We is doing this on the 22nd I just wanted to get most of the bd work out of the way. Taking stuff apart isnt as big of a project as putting it all back together. As long as I can get the cam and lifters by then itll be a sinch.
I need to talk to the guy of craigslist again, unless I can find someone on here with a decent cam and lifters for under 100.

Well a few factors have come in to play in my decision to post pone project build a thon. Only a few members have expressed certainty in coming on sunday, I just got suspended pending investigation from my job, I havnt gotten the new cam yet. I will be postponing form this sunday untill next month in hope that more people will actually be excited to help a fellow fbody, muscle car guy, and general fun loving beer drinking guy out with his car, when that day comes and I have the new cam single plane intake and my heads ported ITS ON!!! & if no one again wants to come then ill just rub my magic lamp and ask my genie to help me! 06-26-2008, 12:08 AM
Been thinking about that too but if I were to dump close to 2000 on a nice clean thirdgen, Ill have a car with a 305 at best a 350tpi with no less than 90 thousand miles leaky ttops dirty interior and fading paint.
2000 is a nice down payment on a 99 trans am, more reliable looks nicer and all.
Either way my car will be running before I make a decision, who knows I might just keep her around.

Heads are OFF!! I cracked on of my heads, the opposite head that cracked last time. The gaskets the shop used were felpro mls too and it cracked just about all the way through the gasket.
I have a set of steel shim mr gasket head gaskets for .40 over bore which im going to be using when I put this thing back together. Just gota wait for my new parts to be ordered(need to collect some money first) and my double hump heads to have their valve job finished!
