I wanna do a poll for those of you who actually have check engine lights, is it on or off?? And if you don't have one, would it be on if you did?

Neither my DD or my 87 camaro have a SES light on. Both legitamately pass NJ inspection...

I prefer that my vehicles' work and run the way they were intended.

On BOTH cars, the Jeep and the family truckster (T/A don't have one...wouldn't be on because it has no engine right now!). Timing's everything...

As mentioned above, when I pulled the computer out of my '87 the light stayed on....when the car was running.

My engine temp sending unit isnt plugged in so the SES light goes on when I put the car in gear. At idle its not on.

I pulled all the computer stuff - went to a large cap HEI (non-computer controlled) and a Holley 750 carb. If I still had the stock setup it wouldn't run at all.

Mine's on. I think its on for random misfire, but i still need to hook it up to the scanner to see the real reason that it is on.
