Toyota Linked to Human Trafficking and Sweatshop Abuses
Toyota May Be a Shade Greener Environmentally but has badly stumbled with Human Rights Abuses

NEW YORK, June 18 -- Today the National Labor Committee (NLC) is releasing a 65-page report, "The Toyota You Don't Know" documenting serious human rights violations by the Toyota Motor Company, which will disturb most Americans.

"Celebrities like Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pit, Bill Maher and others have led the way in turning Toyota's Prius into a symbol of concern for our environment," said Charles Kernaghan, director of the NLC, "We hope that these same celebrities will now also challenge Toyota to improve its respect for human and worker rights. As a start, Toyota should cut its ties to the Burmese dictators and end the exploitation of foreign guest workers trafficked to Japan."

Im guessing you do not own any articles of clothing out of Chine either? Or how about go to a fast food place, because you know your clothes are made by 10 year old child laborer and god only know what they do to those chicken and cows before they are served on your plate. Newsflash big corporations have always took advantage of stuff like that, and they always will, after all YOU want your product cheaper!

ahhh...some people re just... I'll stop here.

... judging by their website, I'd say it's because the source of the report CLEARLY has an agenda. The NLC doesn't exactly sound like an unbiased source of information. I'm not saying they're wrong, just that their facts may not be 100% reliable.

Where can I get like 6 of these people to do all my work? I will pay them double what they are getting and even throw in some extra cat food for their troubles.

but it goes so much further than that... try looking for the "Made in USA" label sometime. it's getting more and more difficult to find. yet, i keep looking in an effort to keep my dollars here in the states instead of feeding that trade deficit monster.

I don't shop for "Made in USA" sticker, I shop for a product that I'm interested in, if its made in USA and I happen to like it then I will buy it. I always look at the product first, then at the quality, then at the price, so if USA is not there, well that is not my fault.
