So my dad lets me know the other day he got tickets to the summer nationals at etown sunday and for today he got lucas oil customer appreciation tickets. For the customer appreciation he tells me their going to let everybody get a couple runs in down the track. We didn't know what we would be driving. So we get up to Etown and theres a bunch of G6 GXPs there. So I figured we be driving those. We wait around and talk to one of the lucas guys and they cancelled the racing. Even though they were G6s it woulda been cool to race my dad and my uncle and have fun. So then we get the free dinner and they gave us all tickets for sundays summer nationals and passes for the lucas suite in the tower, so it wasn't that bad, but we mostly went up there to run the cars they were going to let us and we didn't get too.. everyone was kind of dissapointed. Just wanted to get that out. and how quick are the new g6 gxp's?

They are pretty quick. 252hp 6spd automatic with paddles...not bad. Could be more. The LTZ Malibu and Aura XR have the same hp rating.

Damn.. i'm pretty bummed about it, i was pretty damn excited to be driving anything that was supplied down the track.

K&N had one of those race days for us at my old job. They had 6 G6's and 2 Bonne GXP's. The G6's were low 15 sec cars and the Bonne's were running 14.30's. It didnt matter about ET, whomever got to the end first won. It was the treeing of death. Fun day though. And all of the cars still had window stickers on them, plastic on the seats and none had more than 25 miles on them.

No matter how fast they were it woulda just been cool to race against each other. Oh well. I'm going to the nationals sunday soo.. anyone going?
