had to get my car towed last night because of the whole ignition problem and now the front of my car is all jacked up. AAA told me i have to bring it to the tow place and have them look at it. I just see this not going so well.

yea thats what i was thinking too and the guy was nice about it all and tried to reassure me that "he always towed his camaro this way". but i guess just because he always did it doesn't mean its not gonna get effed up. it could have been a junker he was dragging around haha.

Make sure someone from Road Service looks at it too. Have them show you how it is supposed to be towed in the towing manual all AAA towers are supposed to refer too. I can check the one in my office I use to help with damage complaints on Thursday. I will be in Michigan until then.

yeah but that could be from a nail in the road or something like that. could have happened that day when he drove it. best thing to do is take the tire off and give it a bath to see whats leaking. if it looks like foul play, well tell the mother to fix it!

It shows that it can be towed with a wheel lift. Regardless any damage they did is their problem. Have a body shop look at it and give you an estimate. If they want to see the damage do it at the body shop. It is your call.

my '69 was towed with a wheel lift tow truck. i was worried as hell, thinking of all of the horror stories i've ever heard about tow trucks jacking cars. it ended up being worry for nothing, as the car arrived at the mechanic's shop without so much as a scratch.

it doesn't have to be a flat bed, but thinking of you guys with lowered cars makes me wonder how they'd get it on the flatbed properly without dragging the nose.

yeah I always request a flatbed, one time they sent a wrecker I told them to come back with a flatbed & they can then tow my truck. They were back in about 45 minutes with the flatbed at which time they towed it.
