there's a thread about this survivor car that was recently found. An original 69 TransAm with 52K miles. Check out the sweet floormats that were in the car.

Oh nice.

Jeff, you said there was a thread somewhere about the car. On this forum, or another one?

On Camaros.net, here's the thread.

An original owner car apparently. What a sweet find!

Actually, it turns out to be a Ram Air III car but still an original TA so it's a sweet deal.

I have to agree with the sentiments of the folks on that board - get a loan if needed, but buy the car right away. One call to PHS will help authenticate it. I'm certain the folks at PHS will help a prospective 69 TA owner out immediately. Those things don't surface often (except around BJ auction time).

Damn what an incredible opportunity.

Just looked at the interior shots. The seats are white, with black carpeting / dash. The description says original, however I've only seen blue and red interiors for the 69's. How common was the white / black mix? Is the interior truly untouched?

Regardless of the authenticity of the interior, if the VIN matches up, its a steal.

I believe the guy has posession of the car and PHS documents verifying it as a Ram Air III car. White was an available interior for the TA, most people think blue was the only option but that's not true.
