What do you like better, the new Challenger or new Camaro

Very hard to gauge the "NEW" Camaro, since the FINAL/FINAL/FINAL/FINAL etc., design has yet to be finalized. If you see the Challenger on the street it looks awesome:drool:. Who here has seen the Camaro on the street?

I think the new Challenger looks better but the drivetrain on the Camaro is probably so much better.

Yeah, need to wait until the Camaro really hits the street to see what the engine combos really can do. That Challenger looks great, but it's so bloated looking.

I voted 5th gen but for the first time ever I probably won't get one even though I have only owned 4th gens since I have had a drivers license..
But if the LS-3 In the 5th gen is anything like the Vette add some headers and mid sized cam and it will put out Z06 numbers at the wheels..

Boss 6.2 has been canned for the Mustang adn F150. 6.2 will only be found in F250 and up.
Mustang is supposedly gunna get a 5.0 Mod motor making somewhere between 370-400hp.
The Boss 6.2, formally known as "Hurricane" till Katrina, is a pushrod engine, not a OHC engine last time I checked.
Camaro's final design is finallized. Its the same damn car you see in every spy shot I or someone else posts up.
Anyone who doubts GM's depth of Powertrains is just plain silly, especially if the doubters are fbody guys.

dude, what are you doing here? seriously. you no longer own a camaro, are down on the new one and you have a picture of a rustnag in your sig.
:ban: (j/k  )
seriously, i love the camaro. i will spend the next year or so making sure my poker face is intact so that when i go talk with a salesman he doesn't think he's got a slam-dunk because i love the car so much. while it puts me off owning one of each generation, i think it will be important to buy one of the first program cars i can find (used, either repo'd or lease turn-in, with around 12k miles on it, and the previous owner paid the depreciation on it! ) to make sure i get one. i am not into dealer markup, and i don't pay retail for anything (always on sale or have a coupon for it or some other way to get out of paying retail).
the neat thing of a wish list is that you can change it and it doesn't matter, as long as it keeps you happy. while i don't really dig the idea of not owning a 2nd gen camaro for a while (long while, if my wife has anything to say about it) and i've lately become really interested in 1998-02 camaro Z28s, i can keep those feelings hidden while driving a new camaro.

Even at a 2 to 1 ratio...I dont understand how an fbody site would want the Challenger?
Not even brand bias, just the fact that the Challenger is blah and massive compared to Camaro?

Al, some people are entitled to their own opinion...not everyone is teh GM Fanboi :flower:

Again...Im not even saying fan boyism.
The Challenger is massive, its bigger then a 4th gen, its as heavy as a truck, and posts up times slower then the GTO?
But because it looks like a 1970's Challenger, I guess that means people will just be lined up at the door for them. Its not even agressive looking. It looks so bloated and fat.

I'll fully admit that I like the looks of the new Challenger....even if it is a bloated pig. I have a soft spot for old Mopars thanks to my dad.
I'd still prefer the Camaro by a long shot though....

They parked one of ths comcepts at the detroit auto show next to the promod and it was awful, I understand GM wanting to jump on the bandwagon with ford and dodge but the mustang and the challenger actually look good, camaro looks dumb in person, but thats just my opinion. other things I head about it was that it was going to come mostly in 6 cylinders and of the few 8 cylinders most would be ghey autos, dont know how true that is but if itis, it goes to show how lame GM is about the whole project. then again, my tastes have changed over the years, i remember when the dodge ram pick up came out, how much i hated it, i thought the grill looked stupid, now i like um, one cars I havent gotten used to yet is the pontiac aztek, I know a lot of die hard chevy guys want to rave about the camaro, in reality, the mustang -ford hit it right on the head, challenger - good, GM, tried too hard on the camaro looks blah

Personally, I wouldn't say that GM is jumping 100% on the retro bandwagon. Yeah, the 5th gen kinda looks like a '69 but not nearly as much as the Ford and Mopar cars look like their original designs.
For me, it boils down like this. I want a new Challenger because I want an old one, and the new one is really just an updated old one in terms of tech and looks.

I saw the mule in person, im not as impressed by it as i was a few years go. I'll have to wait to see what it looks like at a dealership and in person, just like 4th gens grew on me a few years after they came out. the challenger however, is teh h0ttness.

the challenger is a little bloated, they could've stretched the hood a little longer, but it still looks sweet
