do to insane gas prices($8.50 for 100 octane) and lack of use, im retiring my 84 camaro from steet use. the only time you will see that car is at the track. i just pulled my 700r4 out to replace that with a built powerglide with a transbrake. i will still continue to get it inspected in case i get the earge for a short street run. but its mostly gunna be a drag car.

Sucks to hear man, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.....at least you can cruise it once in a while if the mood strikes you.

yeah, within the past two years i put about 800 miles on the car. im kinda loosing interest in it. i hate to say it but its true. i have alot of money in this car and i stuck with it. it wouldnt be worth it for me to sell it. so its just gunna be my weekend worrior. hopefully ill be able to get it in the high 10s by the end of this year.

lol i've been in your situation before with my car. forget about 10's if your going to build it into a drag car shoot for 8's. i know that your car could easily be in the 9's with a little work and a small shot. drop the insurance forget about getting it inspected and forget about driving it on the streets if you want to make it a real drag.
