car poping

i just got my car back toghter got it tuned no check engine light but when u give it more then 1/4 throtle it just pops no popping while idleing would no vac to the opti cause it to pop it a 96 m6 car with a small cam

sounds like a lean condition... you say you had it tuned? why was the popping not addressed?

i only got a pcmforless tune on the car it just poping but it been poping even befor the tune. It pops soon as i put a load on it like when i let up on the clutch to take off it will pop and then no more till i go to wot i think i am going to take the opti apart i think that what it might be cause it sat in my garage for 2 year while my car was apart

Now the info comes out. You made it seem like the condition was caused by the tune.

Check/replace your opti spark unit.

Can you do a data log, does sound like the opti. have you driven the car? if the optical side is bad, then the ECM isn't advancing the timing. It will pop without setting a code, if you drive it under load then you'll most likely get codes set.
