Revised Heads Up Rules Classes & Rules

In an effort to have more cars in the classes and even the playing field for those wanting to run heads up we are revising the rules:

Changes:
• Base Weights and engine limitations are being removed and breakouts are being added so racers can gauge what classes they will be able to compete in.
• Pure Street/Hot Street N/A are now combined in Pure Street
• Changes are noted below

Pricing & Payouts for all Heads Up classes are follows:
• $50 buy in
• $25 buy back. If you loose first round you can pay $25 and buy back into the race, Those that elect to buy back will be paired up (Random Pairing) and run off ( if odd car count bye is based on 1st round R/T). Winners go into the second round and go on the ladder based on their first round ET. Buy back losers are out!
• Payouts are current set at $250 per class. Payout will be raised base on a car count per class if possible. Additional awards may be offered based on Sponsor’s generosity.

General Rules for All Heads-Up Classes:
• All East Coast Nat Heads-Up Racing participants must meet NHRA safety requirements for the ET and trap speed they run.
• All Heads-Up racing categories will be on a .400 Pro Tree
• NEW ** Each class now has a set breakout **
• Eliminations in all classes will be through an ET ladder matching quickest against slowest in qualifying. ( Pro Ladder )
• All vehicles must have Camaro or Firebird bodies to be eligible for competition.

Pure Street: ** 12.0 Break out ** ---------------------------------------
Class Outline:
• All cars must have current registration, inspection, and insurance
• Functioning street running gear required (headlights, turn signals, brake lights, horn, windshield wipers)
• "Full Interior" required (factory appearing dash, two front automotive seats large enough to seat an adult, console if factory equipped, full interior plastics/trim, carpet, and headliner)
• All cars in Pure Street will launch from a foot brake. No electronics, trans brakes, two steps, throttle stop etc allowed.

Tire Requirements: Drive tire sizes are limited to the following:
• Any width DOT non-drag radial. No DOT slicks permitted
• Drag Radial: 275/50-15, 255/50-16, 235/60-15, 255/60-15
• DOT Slick: Max. height of 26 inches with a max. width of 9.5 inches

Interior Requirements: Our consideration of a "full interior" is pretty straight forward. Two front seats, they don't have to match but they should both be automotive type seats large enough for an adult to sit in, complete factory appearing dash, full carpet/interior panels (including some sort of door panels), and a console if factory equipped (first and second gens may remove the console since it was factory available that way, but the area must be carpeted)

• All electronics prohibited, no 2-step, transbrakes, delay box etc.
• ** foot brake launch only**.

Hot Street Power Adder Heads-Up: ** 10.0 Break out ** -------------------------
Class Outline: This class is for those who have progressed a bit further into the build up of their car as a race vehicle. While still keeping the chassis limited to bolt on type suspension components, the addition of power adders to the class will make for much quicker ET's than you will see in the Hot Street N/A Class.

Tire Requirements: Drive tire sizes are limited to the following:
• Drag Radial: Any Size DOT Approved Radial Tire Permitted
• DOT Slick: Limited to 11.5 width
• Full Slick: limited to 10.5 width(non-W)
• Any front tire is acceptable
• Drive tires must have factory size stamped on sidewall to be class legal
