i believe you will need more than 7k, unless you go to a dealer and do that thing.

I was in the same situation not too long ago. What your gonna have to do is save up and wait until YOUR car comes along. Don't settle for something less. If you want a 6-speed don't settle for an automatic because it was cheaper, its not worth it. Don't take out a loan just wait. The cheapest 6 speed LS1 i could find awhile ago was around 8.5k with low miles. If you get lucky, guys in PA usually sell them cheaper. If your willing to drive check the pa criagslist and ls1.net forums. -Cameron

sounds like a really good deal to me, especially with a brand new engine. How many miles on the body and such. If he's your friend i was assume it wasn't in any accidents and i would try and definetly check the carfax. Just some friendly words of advice from a fellow F-body owner. People like to sell cars when they know something is wrong with them but deny it to a buyer. It's happend to me and im sure many people on this board before.

well this is what he told me. he had an oil leak he didnt know about and it ended up blowing the engine. he took it to the dealer and had it replaced. right now the car has 103k on it and the motor is a year old with 10k on it. the only reason he is selling it is because he bought a 05 corvette lol

I may have something for you...99 Z28 Black T-tops, M6, Spotless exterior and interior, miles are high but it was all highway. I bought it completly stock in January and made it pretty much a full bolt on car. Runs great and just has a new tune up with MSD wires and NGK plus, has a full exhaust and intake(LS6 intake, headers, y-pipe, SS hood, etc...) Check out my fquick for more details on the car. I want 8K firm.

You'll always second guess yourself if you don't get exactly what you want. I had to have a 6spd, no auto no matter how dynamite of a deal it was. 2yrs later (and a little overpaid I am sure) and I couldn't be happier (if it wasn't up on ramps still...). Congrats on the sale, the car NJNETSFAN sounds nice. Then again I don't know how picky you are, I'm not very...

That is exactly why my car is for sale. I "settled" for a Z28(Yes I know, such a hard life lol), when I really wanted a trans am.

Hey man it happens! Back in the day I had a 1985 T/A and swore up & down that I wanted to get another T/A. I was looking for Electric Blue LT1 T/A's and I couldn't find anything that I really wanted. A majority of the cars were beat up black T/A's or the combination just wasn't right. Then I found my 95 Z on auto trader that had every option I was looking for and the car was mint. Although I was set on a T/A when I saw this car in person I was hooked like love at first site  I payed top dollar for that car but its still something I don't regret.

Haha, idk, there's just something about the T/A for me. I like the interior a whole lot better(especially the door layout) and the rear wing. Maybe it's because while growing up my dad had two 4th gens and they were both TA's(a 95 and 00). Anyway, by no means am I going to give my camaro away because I have put a lot of money into the stereo, performance parts, and the ss hood(about 3G's in 6 months of ownership). I am only 17 so that may be a turn off to buyers, but I don't take the car to 6000 RPM and don't powershift nor do I want to learn how to. 3 grand is a lot of money to me and it shows how much I love the car, but I feel like I hit a brick wall now when it comes to mods because I've done all of the "cheap" mods. The only thing left is a cam(which I would confidently do the install myself), but I don't feel like spending another grand on the car between all the supporting parts and a tune.
Anyway, sorry for the :jake: . OP if you are interested let me know.
