k so this week i'm install my new springs/shocks/swaybar. i really prefer to do work myself just because i don't have the money to have other people do it. only thing i DO NOT want to do myself is disassemble the old spring and strut assemblies and assemble the new ones. strauss auto quoted me $120 to do it. anyone have a spring compressor and wanna do it for me or know anyone that will do it cheaper?

thanks in advance

Find some of those tie downs with the hand crank thingy and have at it. Only downside is trying to release them... Or just pick up a set of spring compressors from Harbor freight.

hmm did not think of that. you can rent spring compressors from autozone for free i just don't want to mess up and break something.

If you go to autozone make sure they don't give you the compressors that go inside the spring, they don't work with struts.

You can probably rent a spring compressor from Auto Zone as well. All you need is a credit card and theres no charge.

yeah that's what i've read. i don't have a credit card though, and i don't wanna have something go wrong and kill myself.

Its not bad at all, time consuming and a bit of a struggle. Get a friend or two and a jack.
