the builder, with whom i have nothing but a professional relationship (he built my system and i paid for it), has two more computers for sale like the one he built for me. if you need to change the specs, he can handle that, as long as you pay the difference between the part you want and the one that's installed. so, if you win the auction, and then decide you need another graphics processor above what's in the system, he can hook that up for the price of the board. and, of course, he builds these systems in his spare time, but from what i can see, he could go full time if the market was there. he puts the machines together after the auction ends, so there is usually a nominal waiting period like 3-4 days and then the shipping time. anyway, if you liked the specs of my computer and wanted to get one like it but don't want to pay retail, this guy is the real deal. if you don't see what you want, then you can contact him and ask him to custom spec a machine for you.

i wonder if this is in the right place? well, it needs to be seen by lots of people, so the best place for that to happen is in the lounge. anywhere else might not hit the intended audience.

Nice setup....

I have 2 Alienware lappies (older 766's). If you ever come across a graphics card, I need one for the wife's....

But as far as TOTAL COST for his rebuilt box, what do they normally run ?

I'm going to need a new one next year prolly....
