Yeah we have about 8 months left on our mortgage here and we'll start saving for a new place, hopefully purchase something outright within a few years.
This baby was definitely a surprise to the wife & I since she's been on the pill ever since our last :lurk:
My little swimmers are definitely world class...

Congrats Bill! Better you than me...
Just curious, was she on antibiotics or any other meds that would have interfered? or was this just that .1% chance that no one talks about?

Nope, no antibiotics, no nothing that we can think of. I'd still like to think my soldiers are just better than most so lets go that route

You should see this movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/
Probably my #2 favorite of all time behind office space.

yeah, me too, until the doc hit a part of the vas-deferens that was not numb... i almost kicked him and the pain was unlike anything i have ever felt before. but it's a good thing to get done. then, even if your swimmers are world class, they can't swim up inside her as the road doesn't go there anymore... [nh accent] can't get theh from he-ah [/nh accent]...
not only that, but then the libido skyrockets and there is no fear of pregnancy so the sex flows like water... :D :D :D oh, yeah, and it's been ten years for me. zero issues, although she checks for lumps and stuff that shouldn't be there.

Congrats Bill, good luck with Baby #3!!

From my humble experience, if you wait for that, you'll never be "ready." I was 29, and my wife was 32 when we got married 6 years ago. While we were on our honeymoon, the bartender said to us, "So, are you gonna have kids?" We told him we wanted to wait a year or two and then start a family. So then he asked,
"Well, you're married, right?"
Us: "Yep."
Him: "Do you have a house?"
Us: "Yep."
"Do you have jobs?"
Us: "Yep."
"Then why wait?"
So, our son Anthony was born 9 months and 2 days after our honeymoon. :) We did wait 3 years to have Giada though, and I'm glad we did. Not for financial reasons, but just because everything else happened so quickly. My wife and I only dated a year, then got engaged. During our one-year engagement, we bought and fixed our house, and then got married. And then Anthony came along, so it was a really quick 3 years!

Thanks! And I totally agree, my wife & I were married in late 00 and finally had our first in early 02'...I was 26 & the wife was 28 at the time I believe. We figured "now is as good a time as ever" and also gave us time to plan out exactly when we want to have baby #2 and if we wanted baby #3.
Genie is pretty young though so she is in a very good position, James on the other hand....

 He's almost as old as I am! Hell, it's tough enough chasing a 2-year old at 34. ;) James, you better think about it once you're feeling better!

We would have them now. But as of today I don't have a job. In September I do my internship for my school psychology degree, and I don't get paid. As much as I"m trying to find something to pay the bills, my schedule makes it difficult to find something that will bring in what I was making. If I was still working we'd be starting to try now, literally.
