if so, go here (http://www.hp.com/large/ipg/ecological-printing-solutions/carbon-footprint-calc.html?jumpid=ex_r2548_go/co2printcaculator) to see what your carbon footprint looks like.
i don't want to get into if it exists or doesn't, or who is the butthead that made headlines backing it up and now he looks foolish, or anything political like that. i just thought it was neat and decided to pass it along. it might just open your eyes to how each person can affect the earth. it's not just big business that has a negative impact on the earth.

I believe in global warming for one reason. When I was a little kid it used to start snowing in early december and we would always have a white christmas. Now, I can't remember the last time we had a snow on christmas.

Notice that the term global warming has been replaced by climate change. Make of that what you will.

I think the world as a whole is warming? slightly. Do I think we, as a race, are to blame? not entirely.

well, the climates will change ... eventually. Regardless of Global Warming. I know the ice age didn't happen from the dinosaurs driving gas guzzling suvs.

must be warming up everywhere but Jersey. It's barely been in the 90s all summer. It's been mostly in the 80s, and if I recall it hasn't been 100 yet either.

yea, the one fact you dont hear with the talks of global warming and pollution is the fact that civilian auto emissions amount to less than 1% of all airborn pollutants. Its industry that makes up the other 99+%. Since the industrial corporations are major political lobbiests, you only hear about the government trying to crack down on our dirty polluting cars, that hardly pollute anything. The sign that showed me its all a crock was about ten or so years ago wen Whitman was our governor, she was the one responsible for all this new emissions and inspection crap for our cars trying to "clean up NJ", meanwhile, she lightened the pollution requirements for the states industrial companies, thereby making MORE pollution, not less, but enjoying the increased revenue that her new auto emissions policy was generating. Then, after a few years of that, our fine government thought that was a great example and idea, so they made her the head of.... the Environmental Protection Agency. You really cant make this **** up.

whether you believe in it or not, everyone should take the time to watch the documentary "an inconvenient truth" its very well put together and spills the facts out for you so you can make your own judgement.

did you know, al gore started a company that you can buy carbon credits from two years before he made that movie and testified in front of congress about global warming. Shockingly, his company makes money now because of what he did in front of congress and his movie.
I suggest everyone take a look at penn and teller's ******** on showtime. They give facts to make your own decisions.

i believe we've only been recording weather and climate patterns for a few hundred years on this earth and have no idea what its patterns can actually be like.

You can get an idea of climate changes from ice samples in the arctic.

I like the cold but I would agree 100%. I am usually the first person to complain about the heat, just the other day I was thinking how mild this summer has been.

Like the Red Scare back in the '50s with anti-Communism, they should be calling this the Green Scare. I've always believed in being environmentally friendly, not polluting, recycling, etc. But it's gotten so blown out of proportion over the past few years. I don't need the government telling me what I should buy or use in my home. And it's seems any company or product is "green" these days. It's become nothing but a marketing ploy.

but if you tweak it you can see how your household is doing. it's not a personal thing, like i thought it was, but still you can get some idea of the impact your house has on the climate change.
there are a lot of people out there that are telling it like it is. lewis black, penn & teller, and george carlin, rest his soul. it's funny, because deep down inside, our ego makes us think we are having this great big change to the earth's climate, when, in fact, we have had very little impact on the earth. look, it's going to do what it's going to do, regardless of what we do. think of it like a dog with some fleas on his butt - then you can finally grasp the impact we have on the earth...
at one point we thought we were the only intelligent life form in the universe. how ego-centric can you be?
