justin should take a look at the server stats for when it was active. see if it actually made that big of an impact.. the VPS that he's got is the same company i've got, and it can usually take a lot.
ok, me being onlya little computer inclined... am not really all up on this bandwidth thing etc, i get the idea and i believe what you all say, but how is a long thread different from any other one, or is it all the reloading/posting that eats up bandwidth, can that be explained to us? im sure im not the only one whos a little in the dark about this.

basically every time someone views, refreshes, posts, or edits a post, it sends info back and forth from your computer to the server this board is hosted on. so when you have a bunch of people posting/refreshing every 30 seconds like we were, it puts a load on the server

There is a running thread at nastyz that had over 14k posts...it loaded very slowly...it was recenetly pruned to ~9000 and it loads somewhat quicker now. So size does matter, sorry Paul. :lol:
