:stupid:
should be almost as good as kraft.
i found that weis makes damn good mac & cheese. actually all their store brand stuff are pretty bad ass. except soup. i only buy campbells soup, will substitute store brand for most everything else.

Most store brand stuff is actually made by name brand companies under contract, so it could be Kraft or whatever :)

It is made to their specifications under contract. Chances are it's not the same product.

WTF cares? Is this what the lounge has turned into? People worried about the brand of boxed mac & cheese they are going to take 6 minutes to make? Make the mac & cheese & eat it or throw out the 33 cent box.
Or I have a better idea how bout you make some REAL mac & cheese
First boil your noodles with a teaspoon or so of salt until the desired texture is aquired & set aside in a 9x13 baking pan
take 1/3 stick of butter & 2 tbsp of olive oil, melt & stir over med heat
lower heat slightly & add 3-4 tbsp of regular flour this is to make a rue
let the flour cook on this low heat for about 1.5-2 minutes so its now raw
add 3 cups whole milk slowly while whisking.
turn heat back up a bit to about a med heat while whisking until the rue thickens
Once the rue has thickened add 1/2 cup of cheese of your choice I prefer cheddar, stir, then add 1 1/2 more cups of cheddar slowly while stirring until the cheese has melted.
At this time add any seasonings you'd like to the sauce, I usually add some red pepper flakes and chyanne pepper. Don't go overboard with this stuff unless you want to sweat through the mac & cheese.
Turn on broiler
Now pour over top of your noodles, mix
spread out 1 cup of cheddar cheese over top of the noodles you have but do not mix in
spread out some breadcrumbs over the top of the cheese & noodles you have but do not mix in
place in broiler for 1-3 minutes until desired browning on top has occurred.
done
Takes about 20 minutes start to finish, costs more but its 100x better than store bought crap and I hopefully won't have to read a thread about boxed mac and cheese again which in itself will make me happy.
I'm gonna go make some boxed mac & cheese for my daughter now, have fun!
