I was outside doing some yardwork earlier today and I hear this loud "THUD" and "screeeeecccchhhh". I'm thinking, what the heck just happened? I walk down to the street and some car is sitting sideways in the middle of the road about 1/4 mile up the street. I first thought maybe the person hit a deer but I didn't see any sign of a deer. And there was debris everywhere so I thought maybe the person hit someone on a bike! Cop cars come by and my brother asks what happened. The guy hit a telephone pole at 35-40 mph and totalled his car! Then, I decide to run down to the beach and people are driving like maniacs the whole way down, so I stayed calm and just let people be stupid. So on the way home, I'm heading north on the blvd on LBI and some guy in the right lane puts on his blinker to move into the left lane and the car in front of me slows down to let him over. He proceeds to pull a U-turn right in the middle of the blvd! Then the trip up Rt 72 was just crazy bumper to bumper crap but I made it home. Now seeing the GTO meet stuff convinces me today was a day to stay off the road! I think I'm done with the beach until we get past labor day, way too dangerous with people going psycho on their vacations.

welcome to summer....i work on a two lane highway that is one way. at the minimum, one car a day goes the wrong way down the road. its usually more like 3, i just shake my head.

I believe it was. Some punk kid (I'm only 21 but def. mature for my age) in a TL-s was driving like an ass in the lane next to me like he was begging for a race. He would floor it and get right on the ass of a car in front of him and repeat the process. Am I supposed to be impressed or something? I just kept looking straight and got off at my exit soon after. I shoulda told him to meet me at the track so I can shut his ass up.

The other thing I forgot about on the way home was a guy in the left lane on 72 wasn't doing the speed limit and I watched a Prius with handicap plates pass him in the right lane! And the guy still wouldn't move over so I had to follow the Prius.

Twas a ****fest on the parkway last night. I had to work late, and of course parkway was one ahole into the next one through the tolls. What is so hard for people to understand about tolls? Why is it a log jam at them? For a mile or more to the toll, there are big efing signs that say "EZ PASS EXPRESS STAY LEFT". ITS EVEN ON THE EFING GROUND!!!! Nope, here is Joey Bagadounuts in the far left lane cause he drives like a dbag, trying to cut across 4 lanes of traffic so that he can try to gather 70 cents from the 5000 trillion cup holders in his stupid SUV, while on the cell, listening to house music.

Man, it was everywhere last night!! I took my wife to dinner in NYC (which sucked, BTW), and the traffic was hell. We were minding our own business in the right lane of 9th Ave. heading towards the Lincoln Tunnel, when some asshat from PA decided he needed to make a right turn. However, he was in the MIDDLE LANE, on my left, and swiped the front of my wife's Liberty when he cut around us. The guy put a big-ass dent in his door and scuffed the fender flare on the Libby. His wife looked out the window, brushed the paint off the door, and they took off down the street, not even bothering to say anything. Now I gotta call Ted to see if he can paint the flare sometime. ARGHH!!!!!

Yeah, driving in the city is a no no...I hate it. I dont remember the last time I drove into the city.
If anything, its to Weehaken and take the ferry. Problem is..make sure you can get back to your car!! I went on a date in the city, parked the car in Weehawken to take the ferry over around 5-6, finished the date around 10ish and went to the ferry station. They said last ferry from that port left at 1/4 to 10. 3 alternate ferrys and a light rail ride later...got back to the car. Still overall a good night.

Yeah, definitely fools day out. My mother and I took a trip down the shore to look at some houses yesterday. And coming back up NORTH on the GSP, its like people get near Newark/The Oranges and forget how to drive. Then comes the toll booths where I agree, I dont understand what is so difficult about reading the signs or better yet even looking at the ground to see EZ PASS ONLY! written on the ground in BIG WHITE LETTERS. People urk me. Finally passed exit 145-148 traffic was fine. Go figure! But I did have some nice eye candy 1970 Red Chevelle Big Block car on a trailer (roll cage, hoosiers - must've just came from the track) towed by a matching red Tahoe with a nice exhaust and a cowl hood. He ended up being my buddy in traffic. LOL, was the only thing that didnt make me go crazy.
