YES!!!! a Sunday meet. Im off on sundays and can finally make my first meet.

Although I am glad the meet has returned to the Roadhouse I am curious in the change in date to the middle of the month... and a Sunday?

This might be a little late as a suggestion... but the Wildwood Car show is going to be the following weekend.(September 18-21) We could attempt to just piggy back on that and have the meet down there so we can look at alot of classic cars besides just our and have the whole boardwalk full of food to enjoy?

Just a thought I figured I would throw out there.

As you can see in the post above you, changing the day once in the while helps some. We usually do Saturdays, but not always - note the August meet - the Nats - is a Sunday.

Meets have also been all over the months - it is not always the last weekend, etc. Here is this year’s calendar so far:

In this case we tried to go around the Englishtown fall swap meet, a constant complaint over the past few years.

The Wildwood idea is interesting, but all we hear now is how the WW shows are getting bad. Plus we do not normally do monthly club meets in conjunction with other events. Usually stuff like that members just organize something. The forum is good for things like that.

There are direct highways from Avalon, you could shoot up the parkway and then shoot over the ac expressway to 55. Or you could jump on Route 9 to route 83 then it runs into 47 and follow that all the way straight to 55. Thats more then likely the way I am going.

Thanks to everyone who made it out today. A little bit warm, but still managed to spend a good amount of time checking out cars and BS'ing. Looked to be 21 members and 16 f-bodies(if I counted correctly, which is questionable)

I'm just glad the 396 didn't have any overheating issues with the hot, humid conditions. It would have been nice to hang out longer but it was an ugly day. I got home and ended up going out in the boat and jumping in the river to cool off. The fish kicked my butt, I went 2 for 9 trying to get smallmouth in the boat.

P.S. the other waitress said the "old guys" :lol: tipped her really good. im not being sarcastic either.

The old guys all had $20 bills and didn't feel like doing math. :lol: The complimentary lemonade from the Bob Evans lady was a nice gesture too. I think that's the most visitor interest I've seen at one of our meets. A lot of people going in to eat stopped to look at the cars. Too bad it was so hot and humid and difficult to hang out. And where did Ron go, he never did come back outside? :scratch:
