Just got this from a friend today......anyone interested in doing this ???
A friend of mine is in charge of the 7th Annual Gary Maddox BBQ Challange, and about 4 people backed out from bringing their cars to show at the event at the last minute. I told her that I'd put up a post on here for her incase anyone was interested in showing up. It's @ Citizens Bank Park and you would need to show up by 11am and stay till 4pm and the cars will be parked in a high foot traffic area. The Phillies game starts at 3:55pm, so your car will be seen by many people going to the game. Below is the press release
If you are interested, drop me a message asap, with your info and and I will arrange it for you tomorrow.
thanks,
Greg

GARRY MADDOX HOSTS 7th CHARITY BARBECUE CHALLENGE
Join the fun at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, August 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. when former Phillies centerfielder Garry Maddox hosts his seventh annual Garry Maddox Barbecue Challenge, presented by Lockheed Martin.
Admission to the Barbecue Challenge is free, and the event features live music by Three Legged Fox (a reggae infused rock band), a performance by the Give and Take Jugglers; a classic car display, family-friendly games, and a special appearance by Mayor Michael Nutter. Visitors can sample barbecue and other foods prepared by participating restaurants including Bull’s BBQ, Big Easy Saloon, El Vez, Finnigan’s Wake, Great American Pub, London Grill, Manayunk Brewery & Restaurant, and McFadden’s Ballpark. Sampling tickets are available for purchase (3 for $10) and can be redeemed at participating stands while supplies last.
This event takes place along Citizens Bank Way on the west side of the ballpark. At 3:55 p.m., the Phillies take the field against the Los Angeles Dodgers (game tickets sold separately). Celebrity judges for the challenge include Phillies general manager Pat Gillick, former Phillies manager Dallas Green, Phillies alumni Gary Matthews, Tyler Green and Mitch Williams, former Eagles punter Sean Landeta, CBS 3 sports anchor Don Bell, 610 WIP’s Glen Macnow, entertainer Joe Conklin, CW Philly Wake Up News anchor Natasha Brown, and Philadelphia-area chefs.
All proceeds benefit the Youth Golf & Academics Program (YGAP), an academic enrichment program founded by Garry Maddox to support children in grades K-8 who reside in troubled city neighborhoods.
