6cyls can still be fast. 3.8l with a turbo would get quite nicely.. Where have I heard that before??? Oh yeah Grand Nationals but they werent fast were they? I guess an 11 sec car that gets 20mpg isnt good enough..

James did they change something in the clusters of the 97up cars, because i had a v8 cluster in my 95 3.4 camaro and it plugged right in and worked perfect

No, I'm annoyed that it was made to look like T/A, which it isn't. I love GN's, and owned a 12 sec 4cyl turbo awd car so no...I'm not a harcdcore V8 guy. Just seems like such a waste to spend so much money making a car look like a badass just to have people pull up and blow you away.

Actually, My friend who we swapped a LC2(Turbo6) into his 87 Regal WITH the FACTORY T package, but not Turbo T package went 12.7 first time at the track with nittos... 3 times in a row... to the track and back, 3 runs.. and burned about 3 gallons of gas.

Oh BTW Matt, Those wheels would look like sex on your car.

Hmmm, everything I read said it wouldn't work...sure it would fit and hook up... but the speedo wouldn't be calibrated.... but I was only reading up on 3.8L stuff so the 3.4's could definately be different.

Looks like the guy has the cluster problem: "Rev Limiter is 1.5 Higher then what it should be (because of the V8 gauges) – This is something any car tuner should be able to take care of."

If it wasn't for the buyer having a very solid feedback, I would say this was a fake sale.

Car has so many TA and V8 looks to make me believe it's not a 6cylinder. I have no idea why someone would "devalue" their car and not say it had a V8 but I'm still confused by the sale.

The stuff mentioned could easily be described from someone who knows the typical mods on the car.

BigAl - Typically the LS1 bird guys do a very similar HID projector retro but use a non-bixenon unit. However, no one has created the plexiglass cover and that's what bothered me most about the setups....the projector lens is always exposed.

It's not like it has a sick sound system, but the guy emphasized all his stereo equipment like it was the ****. The car's basically a stereo that looks good and THAT'S IT. Personally I think the flat f-body hoods are ugly anyway, so I can't argue with an SS or WS6 hood on an unequipped car. But at least you can make a "true SS" out of a V8 Camaro, or a WS6 out of a V8 bird. A V6, no matter what you do do it, couldn't even be a true clone of either car.

I know people said u could put a turbo on it but if it was already there would there have been anything "bad" said to start with? I personally, would have deleted all of the ws6 or v-8 insignia and thought of something original..and as far as audio guys go..i am one of them and EVERYTHING i have built with a sound system was not over done or looked "ricey"..like i said just my $.02..

Why is it then that every bit of audio show coverage I see at shows tends to be cavaliers and lower end cars like scions and crap? You'll see a handful of supras or lexus' or whatever, the rest...CRAP. I used to sell car audio too btw, and not at some crap shack best buy or something, the real stuff, and my buddy actually OWNS a high end audio business. I will admit there were quite a few high end luxury cars getting done. But for every 1 of those there are 50 "show car" wannabe turds with a killer stereo; a car that has looks and not much else. Not saying EVERYONE is like that, but there are waaaay more than a few.

I'm not saying you don't know what you're talking about, so don't get your panties in a bunch, but I've seen it too. I'm not blowing smoke out my own ass, it's just what I've seen.

And as for the V6 tail between the legs comment, it's not meant to say they're all crap. As I said, speed is speed. I prefer 8's but have no problem with a built 6. Majority of V6 cars though, like it or not are dogs, as is the case with this e-bay car. If you run boost or a 200 shot through a toyota it'll be fast too, does that mean it's necessarily badass? Um...no.

And "true SS" is in the eye of the beyholder. If you want to get technical SS isn't "factory". Alterations were done at SLP, not the GM factory floor. If you know what you're doing then SLP is a name and nothing more, just like Saleen or Shelby to Ford. Over-rated, over-priced names. The SS name was around long before SLP, so I say if you can build it the same, it IS an SS as far as I'm concerned. RPO codes are a techinicallity to make pantywastes feel important and limited. To me it means JACK ****. An SS clone done right is just as good and cheaper than a "real" SS.

All the SS parts can be transplanted to a Z28 to make it, in looks and performance a "TRUE SS", that's my point. Is it SLP, no, but it's just as good. A 6 can't even be a clone os an SS or WS6 because it's missing the fundamental part of being one, an 8 CYLINDER, which means IMO to make it look like one is rice and therefore GAY.
