Well when I was younger I heard around from my aunt and grandmother that my father was married before. The a little time later I heard he had a son, witch would mean I have a half brother, witch I thought was cool and left it is. then down the road I was wondering what would he be like so for about 7 years I tried looking for him, Google, MySpace, etc. then recently I gave up but then for the hell of it I typed his name in facebook and BOOM I see someone. Looks like him the history was the way I was told. So I said hell with him I emailed him and ask him so info told him who I was and found out that he’s my brother. So after all these years I found him, found out im an uncle and that I have a whole lot more family then I thought. So we talked for a few hours today and kicked it off pretty good.

He’s doing well for himself working in LA Hollywood doing financial stuff has a great family and keeping busy. But it deff was a good feeling finely finding him and I hope things work out between both of us.

I was speaking about my situation.

If you are happy with what you got, then it's all that really matters.

Yeah my wife is in a similar situation where she hadn't seen her mother in ~25 years, she finally got back in contact with her about 5 years ago and found out she had a 20 year old half brother, etc. We went to visit them out in LA, yes California as well(I guess thats where missing people go lol), we had a good time out there and are still in contact with them. Worked out well for her.

Nice! Congrats dude.

and Tsar, I feel you.. I have a half brother out in Michigan (not Cali) and I've heard from him twice (that i remember)
Once for his wedding & we never got a thank you card/phone call afterwards
the next and last time I heard from him was our father's funeral. He sat next to me after the service and tried to make conversation, while I want nothing to do with him.
I'll probably only ever see him at our nephew's major events.
It's a shame my little brother idolizes him for his West Point grad./military service
