Queer enviromentalist ****bags? Boy how ignorant and repugnant of anyone to say anyhting like that. Your part of the Marine's right? well you know your fighting for our freedoms and rights right? dont forget one of those is the right to protest. Not only that but if that is what they are protesting about, go right ahead. The environment is something that is important, cause you know, we do live in it. now I will agree that sometimes they do tend to protest more then needed, and that they take things way out of hand, like tree lines and such, but none the less, these people do have the right to protest, something you are protecting, and do care about the future and the protection of the world for our generations. If you dont like what I had to say, tough, I have the freedom to say that too, cause you are fighting to protect that too, and if you dont like either of these freedoms, maybe your doing the wrong thing in life, and should reevaluate your beliefs, and what your doing in life.

Also check out the video of the kid who videotaped a cop that was threatening him just cause he pulled into a parking lot. It seems these cops get desk jobs most of the time instead of being let go, which in my mind is a slap in the face to those who were hit or threatened by the law.

care to get me the link to that ??? i wonder if the bicyclist has a lawsuit against the NYPD. I sure would. 90% of cops are relentless, take the law into there hands, and have family members that benfit by being related to a someone who holds a badge.

and i know of a lot of cops that are complete ******** becasue of the badge, but i also know a lot of good officers that actually care about the public and dont do stupid **** like that.

thats the most ignorant thing i have ever heard, care to show me the survey where you got that statistic?
you do realize they get desk jobs pending internal investigations, and then in many cases do get fired or forced to resign right?
you also realize that with unions as strong as the pba and fop, its impossible to just FIRE someone without an investigation that often takes months?

hmmm..kinda one sided-ish because you cant clearly hear everything that was said....im not taking any sides on this but who knows if the kid said something to the cop that pissed him off? i dont know because you cant really hear if the kid said anything before the cop went off.
also the cop had every right to question him because i know there are after hours in commuter lots like that, where the police are trying to get drug dealers and ****, so that part of the suspicious vehicle does make sense, but that ******** with him making up fake **** to arrest the kid is ****ed up.

to be honest, i see no problem with the video. we dont know the story behind it, and as for the comments under the video, thats like believeing the bigfoot corpse story.
hell, ill be using tactics WAY more agressive and deadly in a few months. the police and military should have more rights, keeps the public in check.
NJSPEEDER
09-07-2008, 12:20 AM
I gotta disagree with you to some degree. I have no problem with the concept of the police needing to have as many rights to protect and allow them to do their job as the public gets when not agreeing with them. The problem is that it really doesn't help me to give police the right to blindly do things, knee jerk reaction type actions, towards me based on a minimal or invisible standard of suspicion or because some random citizen said something stupid. Hell, if people making statements or acting like retards was the standard for a shoulder check the world would have to walk around in hockey gear, cops included cause they are just as dumb as the rest of us.
Basically, I don't want to give up my rights in the name of safety. My rights are what make me safe. I trust that the greater percentage of police are good people and do the right thing. I doubt the percentage of them that cross the line and act like tools is any different than in the general population.

investigations take at least months i know of a few that have been going on well over a year (and thats only in the 2 yrs since ive been where im at)
I love how all these people automatically assume the cop was wrong nobody knows the circumstances from a 10 second clip.
As for the other ass who posted 90% are corrupt and dicks... sure there are a few but id say 90% are just good guys who want to do there job and go home like everyone else... im sure i could find a few dicks in your line of work to... so i guess that makes you one

Must be a cop or someone who is related :moon:
Ofcourse i do expect you to have a bias that all police officers are morally correct. They are aren't they ? or 90% of them are 50 % of the time
NJSPEEDER

I am not a cop and the only officer I am related to lives in way upstate New York and I talk to him about once a year. I am also 34 years old and have done more stupid s*** to earn conversations with cops than you can imagine. The honest truth is that 99% of the cops I have dealt with in my life were cool, even the times that I wasn't being cool to them.
The ones that were dicks about whatever, well, there are a'holes everywhere, in every line of work. That will never change. Hell, I work in a warehouse, a real no pressure job, and there are still people who managed to be all keyed up and create drama everyday. It is just the way some people act.
If the cop was wrong, the investigation will do more to bring the facts light than you ever will by hating on all the good cops that are out there trying to keep your ignorant ass safe.

i could see if the cop wasnt paying attention and was running over to another officer on the side and was trying to beat the bike out or something...but who knows, it couldve been an accident? oh well, and like njspeeder said, there are ******** in every facet of life, just the ones that become something of authority and abuse it and are ******** on the job, which is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Police are supposed to be looked up to, but you got tough guy gangsters that hate police because they are obviously doing something wrong and/or illegal. and then you got young kids that think they are hardcore and say "**** tha po po" that are just trying to be cool.
EDIT: nevermind i just watched it again and it looks like he just ran for the guy. just goes to show you why a lot of people disrespect police, like this dingbat. eventually people will stop trusting police and we are royally ****ED if that happens. your car would be gone and not a damn thing would be done about it. think about that for a bit all the police haters out there.

GET HIM MIKE!!!!!!!!!!
yo dude...I've been on both sides. when my car was crashed the police badgered me for almost an hour while I was laying drunk, broken and bloody in a stretcher. threatened to put me in jail and charge me with drunk driving. the whole 9. yea that 1 cop was a dick, but now i'm on the other side. I do impounding in Atlantic City, and I run some ROUGH 'hoods, I'm glad to see the police every time just to know they're there. I was dispatching the other night and we impounded a bank robber's (wanted for 4 armed robberies in 3 cities) stolen car. I had 4 cops there for 2 hours and they checked in every 1/2 after that. say that guy decided he wanted his car back for free...he could have easily just shot me and taken it. anyway moral of the story I love having the police around 99% of the cops I've dealt with (and its A LOT!) are cool guys/girls, most of them are no different than you or I. but just like group of people theres a few asswipes that give them a bad name, and they seem to draw the most attention.

I'm not taking sides because I don't know the whole story but it definitely looks like the officer pushes the guy off the bike.. Had he been running or anything else IMO he would have stumbled a lot more (and not been looking at the guy on the bike the whole time. You can see the badge on his hat the entire time.)
That and there's a pretty distinctive pushing motion with his arms

This seems very similar to the scenario where the cop shot the drunk driver that fled while he was being dragged by the vehicle. Everyone screams brutality this, rediculous that, until the story is actually told and I hate to be using a percentage or decimal or fraction here because of above statistic article but 9 times out of 10 the cops actions are well justified.
Anyway believe it or not it does look like he tripped. Theres no way in hell he would just go striding at the guy like the slowmo shows just to lay him out for no reason.
01blackz28
09-09-2008, 10:20 PM
Dude how are you going to compare this video to a cop who had to defend himself by shooting somebody. I don't know how much more there can be to the story. They said the bicyclist didn't get any charges pressed against him. So yea guys there must be a whole lot more to the story right ? WRONG
Blacdout96
09-09-2008, 11:06 PM
Psh, now i know where McCain is getting his voters, the same people who think this cop actually tripped, while your at it, I got a 1983 Corvette for sale real cheap.
The cop not only was looking atthe guy about 3 seconds before impact, but you see he begins to stride faster to elbow him off the bike. I dont care what his reason is, he did that intentionally.
r0nin89
09-09-2008, 11:15 PM
I wasnt saying that it couldnt have been intentional. I simply said if it wasnt he must have tripped due to him striding like that.
And whats the McCain comment for? Yeah if I was registered I would vote for McCain. I'm certainly not going to vote for someone who wont recite the pledge of allegiance and doesnt believe in this country. But that ok if you want to be suckered into the whole "I'm a racist if I dont show my support for a black candidate" garbage than feel free. But if he wins I'll be pointing a finger at you when we're paying $5.00 a gallon for gas because he decided to axe drilling and tax corporations for more.....
And seriously the magnitude of my comparison between the cop who shot the drunk driver and this scenario is completely relevant. They both consist of a scenario where a cops actions where deemed unacceptable at first given limited information.
AS I said 9 times out of 10. So heres your 1, minority event if it is true there was nothing to provoke the push.
