So I got an MSD6AL and am looking to hook it up. My thought was to power it off the lead of the water pump relay. However then I thought that that lead may be bad being that it feeds an electric pump. Any thoughts on that? And I would like to set it up that way so I can't run the car without the EWP on. Granted I could just run a lead to the battery (+) but I thought this was a bit cooler.

I would run everything on your MSD box to the best possible connection, power-wise.
That means straight to the battery if the instructions say so, and when you ground it ground it to the best ground you can find- such as a frame. DO NOT ground to a thin piece of sheet metal or something like that.

I got a nice ground right next to it, so I went to that, grounds to the frame so I think I am set. And I am going to get some more wire tmmr and run it straight to the battery.

Nope, front bumper ish, if your looking at the top of your CAI, there is a ground strap right there. If you don't like that, I could always go to the ICM ground post .
