Great game, it's a shame one stupid ****ing turnover cost the Eagles the game.

The announcers seriously need to get off the Cowboys jocks. It was getting annoying...Romo this, TO that, Jerry Jones does this...the franchise hasn't won a playoff game in a decade and they're bigger than the Yankees? Riiiiiight

Yeah how about the at least three that I can remember missed facemask calls against the Eagles and at least two missed holds against the Eagles, as well as the bogus under official review calls when the old codger upstairs didn't like the call on the field.

Yeah how about that home field advantage.

Yet the Eagles succeeded to only lose by 4 points. So I wouldn't go running the mouth 'cause that could have been anyone's game.

Too bad we didn't let that poor excuse for a state secede from the union.

That is all.

The pentalties were all over the place.
Bogus under review call on what? The only review durring the game was that hilarious letting go of the ball. If a Cowboy was only aware of it, and picked it up, they would have been much farther ahead.
Romo had a few mistakes last night, 2 obvious and some other just wtf moments for passing, like that 3rd and 6 near the end of teh game, and overthrew Barber...ugh

It was a great game, and the Cowboys pulled it off vs probably the other great threat in the NFC.

Go Brian Westbrook!!!! I'm glad he fell to me in the fantasy draft. Also the Titans defense. Those are the only two things keeping me alive.

The game wouldnt of been so close if the cowboys didnt hand the eagles 14 points, and give them almost 100 penalty yards. Im looking forward to greenbay this weekend and the redskins after that. GO COWBOYS!!!!

Relax man, I'm pissed off about the loss too but there's no need to make excuses. It was a shootout and the Eagles came up short...should they have won that game? Absolutely.

I don't know if the Eagles should of absolutely won that game, obviously they shouldn't have since they had chances at the end to do so and they did not. Both Offenses looked great, but in the end, the Cowboys defense stopped the Eagles on a short field after the kickoff and the Eagles defense could not stop the Cowboys offense when they had the chance.
Some blown calls on both sides, cowboys got away with a facemask that I saw, but that pass interference call against Anthony Henry that set up the Eagles Westbrook TD was a terrible call. It should of gone against the Eagles and they probably would of not scored on that drive. Yeah the Eagles fumbled and the Cowboys scored, but Cowboys gave the Eagles a gift TD in the Endzone and the interception set up the other. So all in all, the better team won this night, we'll see who the better team is the last game of the year when it will probably count more.

Frosty

That pass interference call was BS but it negated the 2 horribly blown face mask calls missed on Westbrook on the drive.

The Eagles had the lead and the ball and they botched a simple hand off. That changed the game right there.

I'm still scratching my head thinking about the end of the first half. I just don't understand why the Eagles would let the Cowboys march down the field, I HATE prevent defense.

Was an awesome game to watch. VERY entertaining. I really don't have a favorite team since I bet way too much... speaking of betting... the Eagles did cover the spread :) Game was a gimmi for betting, Eagles were getting 7!!!

09-17-2008, 09:33 AM
I was just surprised how bad both defenses were. The refs were lousy both ways so that nets out. And Romo choked under pressure at his goal line like I predicted so nothing has changed there. In the end, it was a good game to watch. I can't imagine either team would be proud of their performance though.

Njgunslinger
09-17-2008, 09:46 AM
well give the offenses a lot of credit, they played very well. The 2nd half the defenses played better, especially the Cowboys. Romo choked? lol you kidding me? After a fumble and interception he made HUGE plays that many quaterbacks don't make after stumbling early...Hey I'll take 300 yards and 3 td's everyweek from my quaterback. That offense is stacked, not many other teams have an offense that can stay with them for a whole game. Eagles were good, Cowboys were better.

JL8Jeff
09-17-2008, 10:09 AM
Yes, Romo choked when he was put under pressure. He fumbled it in the endzone and then tried to be a hero instead of going down. Just like he choked in the playoffs every time he had to make a play. He has a problem with throwing that ball sidearm when he gets pressured and it gets batted down or intercepted. Anybody can throw TD passes to Owens and Witten all day long, especially with the blocking the Dallas O-line gives the QB.

Njgunslinger
09-17-2008, 10:56 AM
oh yeah I am sure anyone can do it.....I love Dallas haters..Romo is not the best Quarterback in the league but with not even two years under his belt, he is a top 5 QB.
Yeah he tried making something happen cause he's an athlete and competitor, in time he will learn to take the losses and move on from there. I don't know about you, but I love that someone works hard to make plays and that is why he can throw 36 TD's in a year, cause he keeps plays alive. Not a lot of Qb's can that in this league.

I guess Donovan Mcnabb sucks too, he fumbled that ball at the end of the game too...and he's been in the league 10 years.

Like the Eagels O line didn't give protection to their QB. ESPN even did a little side video between plays on how much time McNab was given. Any QB in the NFL given the time will complete more passes.

Maybe Eli should have just gone down too just to play it safe in the Super Bowl when he was pressured and BECAME a hero for completing the most amazing pass and catch that I have ever seen. Come up with a better reason why you hate the Boys and don't jump on the band wagon to hate them just because everyone else does.

How is he being a hater for stating an educated opinion? Boy, some Cowboys fans sure are touchy eh? I guess not winning in the playoffs for a while will do that to you

They have a great team this year but if you can't admit where they might have issues or you can't see that they're not perfect you're no better than the "haters".

I still get a kick out of some of the "analysts" on TV, when Tom Brady went down a few said that the Cowboys only competition this year just left the picture...HUH? One game into the season and suddenly the 'boys have no competition? Holy Christ, was there a memo that went out before the season started for everyone to ride their jocks? Dallas was supposed to dominate the NFC East for the last 2 or 3 years and...well....they got bounced in the first round of the playoffs.

I'm not talking about the Eagles, my comment was on Romo choking again like he has done in the playoffs. Donovan did as well now that you bring it up. In the end, it comes down to winning a championship. Stats are great to look at and so are records, but it doesn't win championships. It's nothing about hate, it's the obvious. Put Romo on the Dolphins and let's see what his stats are!

Njgunslinger

issues? that Romo chokes? if you watched all his games not 1 or 2 of them a year, you would know that he doesn't choke.
Educated Opinion? That's not an educated opinion, if you ever played QB or any football for that matter then you would know the guy can play.
But hey, love Cowboy haters, and I don't hear the Cowboys saying they are a givin to be in the Super Bowl, just these idiots analyst out there that think they know everything.
I think the Cowboys are definitely one of the most talented teams in the NFL, but takes more then just talent to win, we'll see if they got it.
I knew the Eagles and Giants are good, it's going to be a battle in that division and whoever comes out on top there I think will win the Super Bowl since these battles will make them better then everyone else.

Agreed

Also the the point Jeff was trying to make is that give any QB weapons like Witten and Me-O with a decent O-line they'll put up numbers too.

McNaab has a bigger and perhaps better o line, plenty of recievers and Westbrook but I guess all that didnt get it done....:moon:

Stop bitchin, Cowboys were the better team. Stop making up excuses about how the great the Cowboys are.

Frosty
09-17-2008, 09:57 PM
I'm not making excuses, not once did I blame some cosmic force or the refs for the loss. I was clarifying what Jeff was trying to say. But since we're on the topic if you think the Eagles have quality receivers like the Cowboys do you're drinking the kool-aid again.

The only part I was bitching about how everyone in the media is swinging from the Cowboys nut sack when they haven't accomplished a damn thing in 10yrs..it's getting old already.

BigAls87Z28
09-17-2008, 10:15 PM
Cowboys are just one of thoes teams, like the Yankees, that stand out as one of the greatest franchises in thier respective sports. Not many teams get to have that glory, that fame, that world wide recognition.
Expect nut swinging for teams like this, especially when the Cowboys have been oh so damn close for years but keep tripping up in the playoffs.

Frosty
09-17-2008, 10:22 PM
I'm not trying to take anything away from them, they're a great team....but an unaccomplished great team if that makes any sense. They're living proof that the regular season doesn't mean a damn thing. They're talented, they have the tools and players to make a serious run...but again for a franchise that hasn't won a playoff game this decade....please...the media needs to stop.

BigAls87Z28
09-17-2008, 10:45 PM
Its just expected of the Cowboys. Since the 60's, the Cowboys have always been a dominate team, with a small drop in the 80's.
Could this year be it? Its possible, but the best part about football is that it is a true team game. Your team is as good as the worst player on the field. If your running back is having a bad game, it doesnt matter how great your oline is. If your reciever drops more then he catches, it doesnt matter about how great the arm is on the QB.
Cowboys have had the equipment, and I think that this year its possible now that the pieces are there, Romo looks more confident, TO is doing great, defense (weak defensive backfield) that is doing great so far. If the team can work together now, with all the guys melding into one team, thats what the Cowboys need to get back into being a postseason threat like they were in the 90's.

The Eagles' top two receivers are injured and did not play in the Cowboy game. I am not a fan of either team ( I am a Titans fan), but I think a full strength Eagles team will be better than a full strength Cowboys team. If the Eagles can hang 37 pts on Dallas without their top two guys, I'd hate to see what they'd put up with everybody healthy.
