I guess they can't all be good seasons. Maybe all of the Rutgers players are in awe with the new stadium being built. lol.

I am almost positive that the coach will be leaving at the end of this season. What do you think?

Why is it that everyone is acting like Rutgers has some massive winning tradition and a few losses are big deal. Rutgers has had 1 really good season and 1 respectable season, that's it. Get used to them losing, a few years of winning isn't going to out recruit USC, ND, Ohio, or any other big school.

The talent will continue to go to the schools that win national championships and send kids to the pros. Rutgers will continue to be just Rutgers, an ok school among the also rans.

I'm not acting like RU had a massive winning tradition. I attended Rutgers and went to games as a student when they had a tough time filling even the student section in the stadium. I am just commenting on it because a lot of people were banking on this being another huge season. Season tickets are sold out and you were going to have a tough time even finding a place to park near the stadium. This shouldn't be an issue now.

With Schiano making close to $2 million and another $100 million being spent towards the stadium and other ventures...I think people have some ground to comment.

they are having trouble filling the stadium even now that they eliminated a whole student section. i have tickets to morgan state, i'm debating whether to go or not.

Most people understand that point. Rutgers has a wonderful tradition. Problem is, its of losing. But still, its tradition.
Now, people are hoping that they finally turned it around. One good season, a decent season last year, the media's hype of Schiano as a incredible recruiter has created unreal expectations.

That is the funny thing about expectations in college sports. Schiano is supposed to be a really charmer when he goes recruiting, but with one great season to recruit from and an ok season last year, that still leaves this full season until all of his hype backed recruiting to come through. Most college football players only make it on the field their senior year, so anyone he managed to attract through the hype years won't see the field until next year anyway.

Rutgers has a chance to start getting better and turning that tradition around, it just takes a decade to really change that, not a few seasons.
